If not for stricter gun control, then how? I'm all for government staying out of it, and I totally belive in personal freedoms, and personal responsiblilites. Should we criminally punish the owners of the guns for not following and respecting proper usage, storage, safety, and handling of their guns? Should there be a statute of limitations on reporting a stolen hand gun? What should be done?

Lets not make a big public specticle out of every transgreation people make here in america .
No matter how bad something may be you will have people taking sides or worse yet glued to the tube to get every bit of tradgic information .
Sometimes knowing too much is the problem .
By having instant media giving attention to criminals it only shows people they can get a story out to the people and your name on the news for a day .
For what ever twisted logic people may come up with to get attention the press seems to embrace the story .
List the news this way and we can end publicity seeking criminals and mental deffectives all in one feld swope .A congress man of the republican party resigned today because of alleged sexualy suggestive remarks being made to same sex individuals under 18 .OR -- today a mentally derranged man entered a school house and killed several students he was taken into custody and tortured for twelve hours before he some how commited suicide .
These instant stories get people who have had no public attention ever on them exactly what they want . Instant temporary celebrity attention .
Attention is what you got at the end of a belt in my house for breaking the rules .You learned fast that attention was not what you wanted .Belonging and contributing to the good of the family is what got you praised by mom and dad .Look your brother can get straight A's whats up with you . We know you are not stupid cause we had you tested and you are normal . Do you like living under our roof ! If so i suggest you pay more attention and bring up your grades quickly or else .
People need simple rules to follow and a set of morals to live by or we end up with what we have in america today .
I am tired of the news following police chases school shootings cop killings live on tv with hours and hours of coverage .
If you want some news follow a congressman around all day or the major of your town . Life is not an endless flurry of activity for people .IT is routine and boring and not as depicted on television or in the movies .
We have become action junkies .Video games running from the cops or battling aliens or mutants and music that objectifies woman as only sex objects .DO you have a better orgasm pounding that hoe and smaking that booty or making love to a woman you respect .The passion is there if you love one another .
I wonder how many women really like being treated like a hoe and how many are playing along cause this is what they feel it takes today .
Can you picture your mom and dad making it like it is depicted in porno's or more like two people who love and respect each other and enjoying sex as intended as the method of reproduction . Booty banging and oral sex is not going to get a woman pregnant .SO why have women bought into this .Like wearing a size 6 i guess and gettting boob jobs women want to be all that men want them to be .
SO is this climate of seeing everything possible good for us or does it change our ways of thinking and acting .
I say report the news right and we will not have alot of copy cats out there doing the same things .
A man died today for no reason at all in a tradgic attempt to get our attention .This should be enough reporting .The coment should go like how many stupid people does this make in five years 7 thats one to many stupid people and we are smarter then this .BY the way for those of our viewers who are to young to remember stupid people are those who want to get there name in the obituaries .

Stricter gun control is not the answer, if someone wants a gun bad enough, then they will get it either way.
Where are the parents of these children who turn psychotic and gun down people? These kids don't just wake up one morning and say,"Suns out, I better go take out my friends at school," do they?
There is an underlying problem(s) at work in these shootings, be it school bullies, quality of teachers/education, or just parents/teachers who ignore certain students or do not recognize that the are about to break under stress.
My 13 yr old son tried to commit suicide a year and a half ago because he was being bullied at school. But the school principal told me, and I quote, "We see everything that goes on, and we do not have bullies at our school,". Could that be the problem?

The bad guys prefer unarmed victims!!.
When seconds matter calling 911 and asking the bad guy to wait is not a viable option.
Better to have a gun and not need it than to need it and not have it!!!

I'm a proponent of the second amendment, and I have no good answer. The second amendment is worded strangely, I think on purpose by the founders.

I think we should start allowing parents to discipline their own kids again.
I am saying if kids were taught about right and wrong and were taught that every wrong action they take is going to have some kind of consequence, I think it would cut down on school violence.

I do think that if you are going to own a gun you must have a gun safe. This "let the kids walk into your room and grab it"
thing is a little weird. Still, it's pretty easy to just buy a gun off the street. It might be time to reconsider the 2nd amendment.

if the teachers have a concealed weapon permit then they should be able to carry in school that way it would be less likely somebody would come in the school to kill if the staff is armed
