In the 1800s and 1900s western women across the world had similar problems as the muslim women have today.

They had virtually no rights at all, they were a servant to man.
I have met muslim girls and women in my many years of taxi driving who are living life to the full, whilst still respecting their religion, they told me that their families were horriffied at what they were doing.
but their answer to their families was.. you brought me up in a western world, sent me to a british school, so thats what i am a british person, with british ways.

It saddens me when i see them covered from head to toe with these robes, most asian girls are the prettiest girls around and should not be covered like second rate people.

In the many years of me cabbing i know that many asian girls are not putting up with these medevil practices.

I give it at least 10 more years and you will see some sort of womens rights movent from muslin girls.

You only live once, make the most of it.

Tony Blair quote, "If the commanders on the ground want more equipment, armoured vehicles for example, more helicopters, that will be provided," Blair said. "Whatever package they want, we will do."

If you do then how soon?

I just thought of the idea, and am leaving Wednesday for her graduation from basic training. I wanted to give her a navy ring as a special gift. I need a site that would offer overnight shipping (obvously)! Can't seem to find one. I think Im just out of luck on this idea.

Immediately after the elections in Nigeria in 2003, the relationship between the president and his vice has been quite unfriendly. It has gotten to such a stage where the two of them are now accusing each other of corruption and abuse of office. The country's house of assembly has waded in and has recently called for the two to be probed. The political supportes of the two are poised towards action against each other. There has been threats to life to the supporters of both politicians and the two camps are seeking for public support and judgement in the court of public opinion.

I am worried because this has brought us on a bad international limelight. Nigeria is a country that has been trying hard to make the world believe that we are not that corrupt, that investors can bring their money to this country and feel safe. And now the two leaders that who are supposed to cooperate with each other are divided over some petty political differences. The president wants tern elongation.

I could imagine him coming round for tea and cake, and then being too polite to have a second piece of cake - but i'd say ' go on Osama - have another!' and, with a little quip about putting on weight, he'd accept graciously

Mohammed Afzal, who was convicted for his role in the attack on India's Parliament in December 2001, will be hanged on October 20 at Delhi's Tihar Jail. The family of Afzal met Indian President A P J Abdul Kalam and sought clemency for him. It will be interesting to see what Kalam does in the case, but what does fellow Indian nationals say about this issue !! Should he be given a chance to become a model citizen or hanged to death ?

Speak up India..!!
