At a summit this week in Mexico, David Miliband, Britain's Environment Secretary, will propose a plan to "privatize" the Amazon to allow the world's largest rainforest to be bought by individuals and groups, according to a report in The Telegraph newspaper online .

The scheme, which has been endorsed by Prime Minister Tony Blair, would seek to protect the region's biodiversity while mitigating greenhouse gas emissions to fight global warming.

According to The Telegraph the plan would "involve the creation of an international body to buy the rainforest before setting up a trust to sell trees" and buyers would become "stake-holders" in the rainforest.

will do the job "UNDOCUMENTED IMMIGRANTS" are doing if they had a "Reasonable Wage"? They live in a little MAKE BELIEVE IDEA that undocumented immigrants work for pennies thats why they are taking theyre jobs and winding salaries down.

For all of you people that are against immigration and agree with building a fence on Mexico, WHY NOT BUILT ONE ON CANADA IF YOU'RE SO AGAINST ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION? You worry about millions of people when 4 TERRORISTS came OUT OF CANADA? I don't get that. I think anti-immigration are "playing double sides". All I hear is about Mexican this, Mexican that, that's funny how I don't hear news mentioning illegal irishs, russians, chinese, indians, or haitians. I find the whole immigration thing biased because it only focus on one ethnicity. I feel that if you're a true anti, build two fences not one! The current international arrangement has the United States comfortably positioned as the world's policeman. The world, just like any community, must have a (tantamount) peace officer, of course, or else Saddam Husseins and Hitlers will rule most or all of the world. The US policeman system obviously does not work now. How do we find our way out of this mess? It is obviously a mess of a situation. What is the answer? Forget the lousy ten points. I didn't know that much about mercenaries. Then I began reading about them & what they do. I began to understand. Then I began to understand other things. Lilke the US never intending to leave Iraq. And how several months ago, there were these attacks on Iraqi policemen & police stations; & we were told these attacks were the work of the "insurgents";.then Sunnis killing Shias - the work of the Sunnis...Shias killing Sunnis - the work of Shias or other groups. All the while, the Iraqi government..arguing, trying to structure a constitution..Meantime, violence prevails...and security forces keep being killed; and there is no real SECURITY in Iraq. Crime rages. Robbers,killers all around. No one has a license to drive...guns and other weapons everywhere...Mercenaries - invisible. Experienced. and people keep getting killed...now it is innocent civilians more than anyone.....Who are behind all of these attacks?

They dont even ask about kids or anything. Month's old kids are left behind parent-less due to deportation. At least think about a way to fix this problem, before letting racist impulses take over. THe only reason the Real Estate boom benefited so many americans is because houses are being built by immigrants doing the jobs american citizens despize. To me this looks like an opportunist move. Once you see " Mexicans" making little money doing jobs pothead americans dont want (go to a employment agency watch for yourself) and making money they get jealous.
