They dont even ask about kids or anything. Month's old kids are left behind parent-less due to deportation. At least think about a way to fix this problem, before letting racist impulses take over. THe only reason the Real Estate boom benefited so many americans is because houses are being built by immigrants doing the jobs american citizens despize. To me this looks like an opportunist move. Once you see " Mexicans" making little money doing jobs pothead americans dont want (go to a employment agency watch for yourself) and making money they get jealous.

Mexican's aren't building the homes in my neighborhood. Didn't they know they ran the risk of being deported when they ran into the country under the dark of night?

I mean, everyone takes risks... it's unfortunate... but I can't help but think, "they should have known."

I wouldn't have children if I knew I couldn't provide them with the life they deserve.... Illegal immigrants should think twice about raising children if there's a chance that the law could come back to bite them.

Everyone has to follow the law. There are many things that I don't like. But it isn't racism that is keeping illegals out, and it isn't the illegals that are keeping this country afloat.... they are looking for work, and employers want to pay the least amount possible... that's capitalism and americans are the best at it.

If the illegals were gone, someone else would assuredly take the job, we've got enough homeless people, and people out of work to prove it.

I'm not saying illegals are bad, but face the facts, they're illegal. Come into the country legally like everyone else, and i'll bring the beer to the party!

Appearing more and more in comedy monologues and sardonic conversations across the nation is the catch-phrase of the entire immigation debate, "Jobs Americans won't do." Politicians and others that support open borders evidently feel that just saying that illigal aliens are "are doing the jobs Americans won't do." wins the argument. Hence they repeat it as their central "talking point." The problem is that a talking point, used over and over in blunt repitition, ceases to be a 'point' and becomes instead a "mantra." You remember mantras. The Beatles had them. Fat lot of difference it made in how it all turned out, right?

The purpose of a mantra is to bore the mind. To numb the brain so much that it stops thinking. And with people in search of their inner bliss a mantra seems to work wonders. But when you come to people in search of answers and solutions you'll find that they'll take your talking-point mantra after a lot of repitions and say "Whoa, what does this really mean?" And once they do that, it is all over for the mantra because, at the core, a mantra is not supposed to have any meaning; its function is to bore and dull the mind.

So it has become with The McCain-Kennedy Mantra "Illegals are doing the jobs Americans won't do."

As example after example shows up where Americans are doing tough and dirty jobs for what would seem to our media, political and other professional classes to be chump change, it seems we might want to change the mantra to something more substantial and meaningful that blows away the blue smoke and mirrors in the labyrinth around the immigration issues.

My current replacement statement, not nearly so catchy as "Illegals are doing the jobs Americans won't do" reads: "Americans will do a tough and dirty job for $15 an hour until somebody else shows up from somewhere and offers to do the same job for $ 5 an hour, at which point the American will be fired, laid off

Oscar, don't be angry for the wrong reasons. Read your own question: "ILlegal immigrants". It's not like there aren't any legal ones, you know. And it would be unfair to those who have had the good will of jumping through the ridiculously high hoops placed by US immigration to let illegals stay just the same. Take it from someone who's been there and done it. I've tried to immigrate to the US legally, and given up. I live elsewhere now. If the US courted its legal immigrants more, it wouldn't have to deal with illegals the way it does, because they might be legal. Do you see what I'm saying? It's just too damn hard to immigrate legally, so an illegal immigration culture has been fostered by it, and that's where the problem is, not the deportation of those who break the law, even though their presence may permit certain, economical breathers for contracting firms. Are you suggesting to let people sneak in and earn legal status by doing slave labor?

I"m following this issue on TV and the papers and I'm really surprised about this question. Don't you get it what all this is about???
Nobody is attacking any Mexican for living and working here, after they completed all the paperwork with the INS. Don't they get that all this is just about the ones, whom sneak over the border in the dark in what ever way they can find.
I hear them on TV bitching around that they have a Right to be here.
What makes them believe that they have a right to sneak into a country, breaking the law doing so. And then demand the right to be here. By sneaking in here don't they already show that they have no intention of respecting this country and its laws???
This is not about where they're coming from but how they get here. This is about national security, a security that protects them as well when they get here legally.
Anyone coming to this country has to go through several steps to ensure this nations safety and that is more than right. It is necessary. So why do Mexicans believe they don't have to do it.

And the jobs? First of all they are NOT here to help out the Americans, by doing the job "NOBODY ELSE" wants. They're doing these jobs because even when the make less then minimum wage, it is still more than they make at home. They're not noble, they're undermining this economy and create unemployed Americans. Them working for so little money did create this problem in the first place.

This is the United States of America and not the United States of Mexico. So respect our laws, we respect yours when we go to Mexico.

Not jobs Americans despize. When the Illegal Lawbreakers come in and do the same work for a wage that an American worker cant survive on. If you looked a little deaper youd see thzt most if not all Mexicans who are in this Country (and heres the key word) LEGALLY, are as against ILLEGAL imagrants taking their jobs for less wages too.

White people are so damn dumb. Its funny how they hate anhything different than them. Don't you idiots know that having white skin is a DEFECT in the GENES that doesn't provide color. You inbread trailer park trash redneck hillbillie cracker@ss crackers. The only thing that makes me happy is that by 2050 the majority in America will be LATINOS. we are taking our continent back. Yes we have more right to be called AMERICANS as we ORIGINATED in this continent. We can simply walk into the US while you Europeans had to travel by boat with many dying of the diseases you sick bastards unleashed into this continent.
Death to whitey.

Let me clarify the situation for those that only speak from what they hear on the TV. Illegals as many call them (Its funny how we don't even call murderers, child abusers illegal but we call those that cross into the US --Misdemeanor-- Illegal), do contribute a lot into the economy. Most end up paying taxes in many forms, sales tax, many illegals own homes and pay property taxes, those that make up social security numbers or use others SSN pay taxes that they never file to get refunds. Those that buy homes will fix the borrowed SSN's credit by paying off their collections and raising their credit scores so they can by homes. By working for cheap they help reduce the price of many items that we Americans use every day. You ***** about $3/gallon gas, how about $3 cabbage, $7/lb tomatoes, how about Motel 6 raising their price to $60 a night instead of $37. The fact is working Americans are getting old and many jobs are being left open. We need new young workers.Illegals put money into SS so the older americans can have health care.
Illegals don't use the health care system as many people claim. I know many that are too scared to go to the hospital or use any public aid. They will visit clinincs and pay cash or got to Catholic charities health centers and pay cash as well. The fact is that Americans themselves are draining the health care system not illegals.
I would stop deportations and raids now!!
give a period of 6-12 months were evey illegal would have to register. Those that don't would face fines or late fees to registered upto 30 days after the grace period. Have all of them go through background checks. Those that are cleared if the can prove they have been here 7+ years and have a family would be given citizenship. 3-6 yrs given residency. Less than 3 given a work permit and have to re-apply to get it again. Guest worker program as many illegals just come to work for a few months and return. Not everyone likes it here. Deport the criminals with violent crimes.

The problem lies within the welfare system and the interpretation of the 14th amendment.
Once the welfare people are forced to get a job..any job then self respect may return.
If the 14th amendment is changed so the wording denies those that are "just" born here citizenship it would be less an insentive for anchor babies.
The U.S. is the only nation that has the idea that anyone born here is a citizen of that country.
The 14th was not intended to be that....it was intended to give the former slaves citizenship.

Watch the movie...The Grapes Of Wrath"....thats who was doing the work before.

Ok, once again, I suggest you get your facts straight before opening your little insignificant mouth. The kids go with the parents, and people DO want those jobs you say Americans don't want. The thing is, is that real Americans won't work for less than the federal minimum wage, where as cockroaches will. If they never came here, all of the jobs in the USA would be at least paying minimum wage to citizens and people with work permits only, and would not be desecrated by illegal workers wages. They ruin the economy, they don't help it. Once we get rid of them and employ Americans, the economy will bloom.

This.."jobs Americans don't want" phrase is getting ridiculous! Like the US is made up only of well to do, well dressed yuppies!! Please! There are the poor and the homeless, who are willing to work... there are immigrants that DESERVE to be here, that would love a job....there are BUMS that we WILL force off welfare...The list goes on. So, Let's not give the wrong impression!! I can hear it now....."The Americans are soooo arrogant, they won't pick their own fruit or wash their own floors!! Gasp!!" Stop it!! Illegals?? Get the **** out!! I'm tired of the whining. and we sure as hell don't "need" you for anything!!

The children of ILLEGAL ALIENS should be deported also....

The only problem that needs fixing is the slow pace of evicting these criminals from the USA....

JOBS??? Americans will do ANY JOB if it pays enough to live a decent life.... your line is old and tired... it doesn't work, it doesn't fly... who do you think did those jobs before ILLEGAL ALIEN CRIMINALS undercut wages so much that Americans could not afford to work at those jobs? Americans did them... and very well....

I have seen the houses built by ILLEGAL ALIENS..... and I have seen how much of the building has to be fixed.... it is horrendous... such shoddy workmanship...

Your head is somewhere up your AZZ... ILLEGAL ALIENS are CRIMINALS... neither they or their children belong here... DEPORT them all.... They are nothing but THEIVES/CRIMNALS.... and those from Mexico are SLAVES of the corrupt ruling class in Mexico.... you need to open your eyes... and have some respect for US LAW....
