If you think it did, you should read it. The Emancipation Proclamation did not free the slaves, and it did not outlaw slavery.

In Spetember of 1862, Lincoln issued a decree that all slaves in those states that are still in rebellion against the Union on January 1 1863 would be considered free. He outlined the definition of what it meant to be in rebellion. Then he gave the South 100 days to give up their fighting. If they did, they would be allowed to keep their slaves since the decree would not apply to them.

The Emancipation Proclamation was the decree that defined the sections of the country that were still in rebellion (most of them) and to which the earlier decree applied. A few small areas stopped fighting and kept their slaves.

This entire process, therefore, was an attempt to persuade the South to give up the war and keep their slaves in return.

The fact that the South did not is evidence that slavery was not their primary reason for going to war.

I read in a book(the book was politically rightist but i forget the name) once that the only way "everyone can be equal is if all have nothing." I truely feel like i have alot less now that the whole gov is controlled by one party. am i alone and would that be differnt if the leftists were in complete control of the gov?

compared to Mexico its because of American Children spend 10 times more watching tv and playing agressive video games than the normal child does in Mexico?

Just think about this, the average SuperBowl commercial costs about 2.5 million dollars for 30 sec. These HUGE companies are in the business of making money ofcourse, so therefore they know they are going to duplicate this 2.5 Million to way more. Why? Because they know that ADVERTISING works. Children watching TV all day long and playing agressive video games is the same thing. It takes away the sensitivity in childrens beings and as a result they want to go out there to doi it themselves like they do in video games and movies.Columbine, and other hurrendous acts of violence like Amish incident are agreat example.

Do you believe that thats the reason why things like this dont happen in Mexico's schools?

How long do I have to wait to apply for an Officer program after I graduate from bootcamp? I want to graduate college first, and then maybe go to bootcamp, and then possibly hope to become an Officer soon after. Does anyone know how this process works? I would really like to experience bootcamp. Would I have to continue to be an enlisted Marine all four years? Or could I go to OCS sometime soon after I graduate from my MOS school? I am just wondering if I should apply for Officer Candidate School now while I am still in college, or become an enlisted Marine, and then try for an Officer job. Anyone know how this whole process works? Thank you!
