I read in a book(the book was politically rightist but i forget the name) once that the only way "everyone can be equal is if all have nothing." I truely feel like i have alot less now that the whole gov is controlled by one party. am i alone and would that be differnt if the leftists were in complete control of the gov?

There is no equality.Never was ,never will be.Even in the court rooms ,good looking people get 30% less jail time than ugly ones.
The only equality is time.We all have 24 hours in a day.And what we choose to do with our time makes us what we are.

What is equality? A guillotine slogan? The idea that all men are equal is as much an artificial Western device, created by historical and cultural pressures, as any other major ideology shift. Remove the basic components that prop it up (like the sovereignty of the individual) and it is quickly submerged and replaced. It's a struggle to keep it believable.

It is sad but both of the political parties are out for 1) power, 2) Money 3) party and you and me and the country come way way down the list.

It isn't republicans or democrats, it is the 2 party system. It is has gotten so out of whack because the parties themselves simply have to much power. They decides who will be able to be elected in this country - try to run for an office, they will annihilate you if they don't want you running. We need a 3rd party made up of regular people sick of what politics has become

The last time the liberals were in complete control of the federal government was in the 1960s, and by the end of that decade the country was in far worse shape than the way it started at the beginning of that decade.

We're supposedly equal under the eyes of the law. But don't take this equality thing out of context. Nowhere does it say we were supposed to have equal amounts of stuff.
