I was sexually abused by my 16yo old cousin when I was 7yo. Can I sue him for pyschiatric treatment and other damages?

Even if you cant, you might want to have the authorities know he's a sex offender..and hope he doesnt do the same to someone else. :(

Honestly I don't know, but I sure hope you can.
I know you didn't ask for advice except about the lawsuit, but I'm sorry, I have to throw in my best wishes for you.
I just think it's so sick, so terrible that poor innocent kids are treated that way just to satisfy someone's perversion or curiosity.

Whether you file and win a lawsuit or not, please stay strong and get any and all help you feel that you need. Sometimes it helps you to help others who have gone through the same thing. Take care of yourself.

You can sue for mental, Emotional and physical damage. Whats more, you should to prevent him trying it on another victim.

Depending on the statute of limitations in the jurisdiction you are in, you may be able to sue and/or press criminal charges.

I doubt it. If you are an adult, the statue of limitations on that crime has run out.

you could certainly have him put in jail for it. you should have told a trusted adult when it happened.
