You must have gone to school in a communist country because your facts are way off base. The US is not an Empire. We are a Democracy and set the stage for other free countries. All countries meddle in foreign affairs and have done so since the beginning of time. If you knew anything about history you would know that. You would also know that the Nazis killed 6 million people and we bombed them to stop that so your grandparents would not be lamp shades. The Nazis where the ones lobbing V2 rockets on England not caring where they fell, just like Hammas did on Isreal. The US fire bombed Germany because they build their factories around homes. There were no guided bombs to just hit the target only. The US got in the war because we where attacked first. Pearl Harbor ring a bell? 9/11 ring a bell? Germany would sink cruise ships. We dropped 2 bombs on Japan to save lives. The fact of the matter is civilians always get killed but the US tries to avoid this unlike our enemies who hide among civilians. Non White? Germans are white. We did not say since they are killing Jews by the millions we should not do anything because they are white. We said we need to stop this genocide. You are just an uneducated person who hates the USA. Do you think the Indians just sat around singing love songs with other Indians? No they where warring with each other also. Long before the white man came they where fighting each other for the same reasons Europe, China, the Middle East (fill in a country) where fighting. Territory disputes, water, food ext...
As for slavery, yes we don’t have a great history in this regard but you might want to use a great invention of the military called the internet to read the “Slave Narratives” in the Library of Congress. You will find that blacks where free and it was Europe that started the slave trades. And who supplied the Slaves? Africans where capering Africans then selling them to the whites. You might remember this nation went to war with it’s self to abolish slavery under Lincoln, a Republican President I might add. Slavery still exists today my friend just not in the USA. The next time you put on a T-shirt that says “Made in China” change it to “Made by Slaves in the Sweetshops of China”. Slaves exist in the sex trades of Russia, Thailand and China. If I recall it’s the USA who is trying to stop this. Your lack of historical fact is typical of an America hater. Your view that the world is just one big love fest until the EVIL America come about is nonsense.

Ha! Anyone remember the British Empire, Communist Russia, Hitler, The Romans? For Christ's sake just because you don't approve of the present White House, don't forget they actually saved us after 1941, for whatever reason. Not in theory, sod the Navy and the RAF, they were not strong enough alone. We would all be speaking German. As someone whose little brother is going to Iraq very soon, i believe i disapprove of war more than most, but you mustn't cultivate hatred of the American people who are just as clever, wicked or stupid as anyone else. Just as many Americans in all the educated centres hate bush and war. But next time you stick a load of exclamation marks after sentences about wickedness and the USA just think about where the oil comes from that powers your computer. Did you vote? Do you wish Saddam was still in power? There are far more issues to be debated than 'Are the Americans a bunch of murderers?' and aren't we smug and lucky in our safe homes to have the right to free speech with which to do this.

Some of the points made in your question are valid. Like many super-powers and historic empires before them, the United States government have commited many atrocities could be labelled as "War crimes" and "crimes against humanity.
For examble, embracing slavery for centuries, and not even making viable attempts to provide reparations for the enslaved population after slavery was abolished.
But, some of the afore-mentioned events were, in some sick way, justified.
For example, the fire-bombing of cities in Germany was done in retaliaton for the bombing of London, as well as to break the German armies spirit. Any military commander would tell you that an army with low morale is a beaten army.
Next, the atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, although it killed thousands of civilians, probably saved many lives (both Japanese and American) considering the alternative, which would have been a amphibious landing of American forces on Japanese soil.

Did you happen to be think that when you wrote "bombing german civillian population" your closing comment was null and void ??
I'm of German ancestry... and really... we're a pretty WHITE bunch of people !! Not as pale as my Irish friends, but we're close!
Please take some time and learn to spell... Heck, there's even the nice little "check spelling" button for you.

You don't know history very well, do you? We have quite a ways to go to catch up with the Cambodians, Chinese, Russians and Germans. Oops, forgot the North Koreans and Japanese. If we're so evil why do so many people immigrate here? How many immigrate to your country?
PS How's that "beauty spot" that you've cut doing? Still bleeding?

I live in England. And believe me, we have a bad enough history as the Americans.
And how do you define it as being the "Americans" who - as you quote - killed the indians. At that time America had its biggest influx of immigrants ever, from all over the world!
So, to say that it was the "Americans" who killed the indians shows your ignorance of American history.
So I suppose the R.A.F never bombed German cities, the R.A.F never bombed the Japanese???
And to compare America to the NAZIs is really showing your ignorance.
America did not start WWII
America did not Attack Japan on 7th December 1941.
I really feel sorry for your low life existence!

Well Im sure some will give you the american love it or leave it answer, but a couple of opinions.
The nukes at the end of the world wars were the biggest waste of civilian life ever, although we tend to celebrate them and talk about how the heart won this war. The US chose not to attack Tokyo were the politicians were. The civilians are always the ones who die. For instance maybe Mr. Bush thinks Iraq is a good idea, but would he still think that if he had to leaqd his troops into battle? I doubt it. Most politicians (on both sides) are chickens. They use us as pawns in their wars.

Apparently, you know very little about history. Put down the Daily Worker and your Chomsky books and read some unbiased, objective history.
You might learn, for example, that thanks to the U.S., millions upon millions of people live free and better lives than they ever could have. You might learn that the U.S. lost millions of its own soldiers in fighting WWI and WWII. You might learn that the atomic bombs actually saved lives in the long run. You might learn that the U.S. is THE most generous nation on earth, and that our people pour billions of our dollars to strangers every year.
I could go on, but your entire question is poorly written, uninformed, terribly incomplete, and Marxist. Grow up.
