Okay, here's my story: I was born and raised in the U.S., as were my parents, and their parents.

But here's where it gets tricky- some of my great grandparents were born here, some were brought here as children from various European countries. Their parents applied for citizenship and became legal U.S. citizens.

Now, according to what I am reading on this forum, I am an immigrant myself because none of my ancestors were descended from the "native American" peoples who migrated here before the Europeans.

I'm really concerned about this. If I am illegal, how do I go about becoming a citizen? And can I get back all the income taxes I've been paying, since I am just an immigrant?

And if I do just get deported, where can I go? Some of those countries my ancestors came from have changed names or become part of other countries. And since there is more than one country, will I have to be cut into pieces, each part returned to a different place?

LOL. This is the best analogy I have read yet. You are a legal immigrant. Do not listen to those that have no valid argument and bring that stupid,"We are all immigrants" nonsense to validate their support for illegal aliens.

Technically if we go by that rule we would almost all be deported and are not legal citizens.

There are two ways to become legal citizens. You are born here and you have birth certificate proving your birth and you are issued a social security card card by the government. The second way is to do what your great grandparents did, which is come to America and take the steps to become a citizen. In both ways it doesn't matter if your ancestors are not Native American (i.e. American Indian)

At some point every person's has a family memeber that immigrated here.

Qucik way to tell if you are legal. Do you have a social security number issued by the government? If yes, than you are a legal citizen. Only citizens are given social security numbers.

Though technically where ever you are born at you are native to that place by definition of native.

So technically me as a person is native to Ohio and the United States because I was born here. I have ancestors that were immigrants. But technically I am native the United States and a legal citizen

You parents should be legal US citizens that by its self should make you legal resident. However you should only be worried if you did not get an education and you are now competing for low wages job which by a "coincidence" is were most attention is focus on illegal or legal immigrants.

1. You're not an immigrant.

2. This land never belonged to the Native Americans. They didn't believe that you could own land, it was a foreign concept to em.

3. All of the US belongs to the US government by right of purchase or conquest.

My great grandparents immigrated here from Ireland. It doesn't matter though, since they applied for and recieved citizenship legally. No one's going to deport you.

You are an American citizen, and yes, you should be cut up into pieces and sent elsewhere.
