my girlfriend is a US greencard holder(permanent resident) for the past 6yrs now and she is elegible for citizenship.We are planing to get married so I could get my papers too but I want to know which one is better wether to wait until she gets her citizenship or do it now while she is filing her citizenship?Which one is faster and which way is the best for me to get my papers the quickest?I am currently holding a student visa which will expire in about a year.Thanks

If you marry her while she is a green card holder you will not get a gree card for at least 2-4 years depending on your processing center. But if you marry her after she becomes a citze than you get a gree card right awya (tops 6 months)

applying for citizenship would be best ticket for yuo but its a long process about 1yr

get married as soon as she gets hers..then you can live here until you get your greencard....(i think?!?)
