Congratulations, yet another great move of the US to isolate themselves and be disliked by other countries...
Keep cutting immigrant flow so the rest of the manufacturing industry finally moves to China for the cheap labor and all the manufacturing plants are closed in the US and all the American white-collar jobs are gone.
If it is there for terrorist protection, th eonly terrorist ever caught in a border was in Canada....
I love the US but I think a lot of things are being done to ruin this Super Power...

Another move by the government to make us think we are "safer" but who does the wall really benefit. I'm not saying there shouldn't be concerns about border security but do you really think a wall is going to stop it? People put themselves out to sea on inflatable rafts in an attempt to find freedom in the US so I don't see a wall doing much except draining money

It does go against what America has stood for, The land of opportunity.
But look at it like this: If every one in the world came to America looking for opportunity then would there be any left?
But building a wall is going to far. I don't want to be reminded of communism. That is exactly what Germany did. It's good to try and keep terrorists out, but the government needs to realize, you don't have to be foreign to be a terrorist, look at the Oklahoma city bombings, they were American.
Ditto: yeah, there might be terrorists plotting right now, but are you suggesting we just ren with our tails between our legs and hide. I'm sorry, but I'm not a coward. That's exactly what this wall will do, isolate us from the rest of the world some more. We have to stand up to them, otherwise they WILL own us by fear for the rest of our lives. Is that what you want?

Instead of catching immigrants, sending them back, then letting them try again, a good wall at the border would be much more cost effect. There needs to be a program in place for guest workers to enter legally.

now they are proposing a giant fence for several miles, even with that its just a snip snip away, what we do need is to have the giant fence electric so they gets zapped but getting back to the question when you think about it everything you have thats on a power cord is going to 18 plus volts now - circular saw,drills,recipricating saws (go thru fence like buitter),band saws. so who know if they get the kits that have the 30 volt recipricating saws here in the states and charge them over there only waiting for the perfect moment. what we should do is if they want to cross the border give us 100,000 bucks since it seems theirs a lot of bribery over there anyways

I think it is a waste of money. But does work as a great distraction fromt the real issues.
And as for the terrorist in Canada. Sure they stopped out there for a coffe but where did they get their flying lessons?

What I find funny is that I read about The Wall Around America in an Underground Comix back in 1971!

love it love it love it...but as you know it probably will not work since the mexicans will still want to get in and will find a way. It would be great if we can put a wall around the entire country.....but again not practical...anyways what are we going to do.....we are like being invaded in a sort of a way

Congratulaltions, for being a ditz!
The boarder wall and patrol of our boarders is much needed and long over due!
First of all name one country that doesn't like our money.
Second, it is the U.S. consuming the goods made in China. If we stop consuming who will buy them?
How do you know there aren't terrorist in the country plotting our demise right now!
There are terrorist cells in this country according to the government called, "Sleeper Cells". They are just waiting for orders to attack.

I think there should be a wall because we are an independant country. If you want to come over come over but be legal and melt because the USA is a melting pot. If you are comming over here you should blend in and speak our language and melt!!!
