NO! I urge people to register to vote absentee. The new voting machines are manufactured by companies run by avid Republicans, and they CAN be rigged. Read "None Dare Call it Stolen" from a recent issue of the Atlantic Monthly). At least if you vote absentee, the ballots will be counted under the observation of representatives of both candidates.

I didn't trust them in the last vote and I don't trust them now.Its simply criminal what has happened to our vote in America .You cant trust the candidates, and you cant trust the voting machines,or the people that sell them to the government. Its like hiring the fox to watch the chicken house, and paying him in chickens, its a bad alliance.

No!
Princeton University did a study on them the results were released last week.
The study said, the voting machines could easily be hacked into and the results changed.

I do not!! If they use the paperless diebold machines again and the results do not match exit polls then to me the election process has become a fraud and this is what happened THE LAST TIME!
Look at the guy above me "usmc" he claims to be fighting in Iraq yet he has time to anser 800+ questions here. Anyone besides me think he is a phony?

No, there must be safeguards to insure a fair, honest and open election. Some sort of hard copy to be able to check against the machines.

I hope we aren't having the electronic ones , if so I'll have a few questions before I vote . If they are connected in any way to the phone lines or internet I'll just walk out because it will be a waste of time .

Expect repubs to win where they are losing in the poles, kind of like Kerry in Ohio! If we cant trust these people with the Pages how can we trust them in an election with systems made by them for them

Why not? The checks and balances are there. Al Gore for example felt the Florida count was suppressed. All sorts of
politico's checked this one out. Both Republican & Democrat.
And George W. Bush won! It's offical. It's real. And factual.
Same as in Ohio in 2004.

It's not these machines/people who we need to worry about, it's those responsible for the next step, compiling the results etc...
