Reports concerning developments in North Korea's nuclear program are routinely absent the "memory-holed" fact that it was Donald Rumsfeld , former non-executive director of ABB, that signed off on a $200 million dollar contract to sell nuclear reactors to the Stalinist state in November 2000.

Will the myopic hubris of the Bushists make them blind to the incompatability of selling a war on a nation years away from nukes while another openly proliferates?

I agree BEARDOG23... I think that Japan will show some teeth on this one. They have been amending their constitution to allow more and more military might. They also have 10 tons of Enriched Uranium!

The DPRK issue is the primary responsibility of all members of the six party multi-lateral talks.

I was going to pass on this question, but you raised the issue of proliferators. Proliferation of conventional weapons has been the primary concern of the USA in regards to DPRK. DPRK is most assuredly the problem of South Korean, China, Russia, and Japan, UNTIL, they proliferate nuclear materiel. As of a few hours ago, they cannot proliferate any more conventional weapons, unless they transship through China.

Kim made a stupid move, which will distract his people with much propanda about national pride, but will lead to his destruction and the marginalization of his party. It might be interesting to see the moderates launch a military coup. DPRK is in real trouble if the hardliners stage a coup.

All of their previous exports of conventional materiel which have been their primary source of revenue, and have been fueling insurgencies around the world, have just been shut down. Possibly China, or maybe Russia, two of their three land borders may facilitate transshipments, but the Russians will be expensive.

We could not have shut down those exports to worldwide insurgencies without this mistake on the part of DPRK, so we suspect that China allowed this, to ensure that DPRK becomes even more dependent on China, perhaps as a province. It is more likely there will be a six country observation deployment led by China.

USA could not have engaged in bilateral talks with DPRK, because we would have had no credible witnesses when DPRK made claims to China and Russia and others about a secret deal, in attempts to secure more subsidies from China.

Now we still are not sure what happened in the two incidents. If they were nuclear, they were tiny. Conventional weapons can yield much greater force, although without the issue of nuclear contamination. Right now, I am unconvinced they were nuclear detonations. but that position could change. USA is reporting higher seismic force than any other source.

In a previous post, I warned you to be aware of this year's October surprise. Surprise. Foley's fiddling, which was a threat to the mid-term elections, is now the second lead in American news. Had they done nothing, the Dems would have won the House, and possibly the Senate.

This is just one more piece of the puzzle, to be observed by people in various ways, with access to widely varying amounts of information.

When you read foreign sources, or domestic sources such as Alex Jones and his lot, remember that they have their own agenda, and operate within the boundaries allowed by their sources and countries of record.

To what extent have you been able to access the memory hole's wealth of information? Some data has varying levels of classification of secrecy.

None of the countries will openly reveal their objectives or goals. It is all just a giant game, and most aren't even players.

Well - yup that's about it -

Bush has started a race for nukes by invading Iraq which could not have been a threat to the US - scared the world by arguing the Geneva convention doesn't apply to his prisoners and having a camp in Cuba for that reason.

Oh lets not forget about blatant use of chemical weapons either and who did that ? A third world dictator ? No Bush

So I am not sure how the N Korea thing will play out but Bush has put himself in a no win situation.

Ignore N Korea and the world will realize that having a nuke stops the US from invading your country and they will all race as they are now for real weapons of mass destruction - unlike those imaginary ones Saddam was keeping under his pillow.

Or go to war (again ) with N Korea an over stretched Army a tired and close to bankrupt nation behind him .

Or just nuke the place and hope China Japan and Russia ignore it

Yes they do, hence you are seeing the result of your assertion today.

N. Korea is a despotic, disgusting regime, and in a balanced world nuclear weapons would be denied it. However, when we have a policy of not speaking to our enemies, it is no wonder they use every opportunity to antagonize and humiliate us.

I predict IRAN will be doing the same in the very near future unless this crazy Foreign Policy is reviewed.

Oldfootloose... What hate the truth..? People like you why we are here today? You should have reigned in the DEvil!!!

That's what North Korea is gambling on right now. What they don't understand, is that the "Bush Machine" isn't their biggest problem. Japan is well able to defend itself, despite having no standing army. If North Korea actually opens that can, Asia will make the Middle East look like Disneyland.

Other than the really big words you said I think I believe in what you are saying. Bush isn't in touch with what he says "AMURICA" needs.
