and only two fish that are about 2 inches each can i add fish and if so how many one fish is a fat bellied goldfish kind and the other is kinda silver and flat with long feeler wiskers do you know what they realy are?

i did a water change and cleaned the tank of angae on the glass etc... normal thing to do about every 2 weeks. it's about 3 am now and the water is very very cloudy. my puffer is laying upside down on the substrate and breathing heavily. it's hard to tell what the other fish are doing b/c they're in their hiding spots for the night. ugg i'm so worried. this is very unusual after a routine water change. the water looks clean except it's a cloudy white color.. any suggestions? please help! I fear they will all die!

Have done a ton of research on nitrate poisoning and seem to find alot of info on how and why it happens, how to diagnosis the problem, and how to solve the problem, but I can't seem to find any solutions as to how to treat my poor sick fish that are suffering. Have lost 2 bala sharks in the last 48 hours and am probably going to lose my 3 angels and a pleco within the next 24 hours! In the process of solving the problem but by the time it gets solved I'm going to have no fish left. Any suggestions, advise would be greatly appreciated.

i want to have a atleast 2 small fishes inside a bowl, what do you think do i still need to provide them an oxygen pump? and how many times should i feed them and how many time should i change the water? and what kind of fish is nemo?

I have an aquarium which I have had for about 3 years. The hood and the filter pump are both made of a heavy black plastic material. It has gotten to the point where I cannot get the white residue caused the water off certain parts of the outside of the hood and pump no matter how hard I scrub or what cleaner I use........any suggestions? I have checked around and cannot find a store which will sell me only a new hood and I have already replaced the pump once.

ill probably get someone to feed my fish, but if i was to use the vacation feeder the instructions say that i should add a "block"
and in the description of the product on the back says : " Nutritious feeder block for tropical freshwater fish"

so is this circle molded food one block?

Yesterday, I put about 10ml water clarifier, and the other day, I put about the same doze. Also, I put some artificial gravel (white)as a sort of decoration. I rinse the gravel before I put them inside the aquarium. When I examine the dead fish, it has some whitish matter on its fins. Are these fungus or bacteria? I also notice that one of my kois had that same whitish thing on its fins. So, what I did was to separate my kois from the rest of the fishes cause I don't want to contaminate the other fishes. The rest of my fishes (black moor, black molly) seemed to be fine. Can anyone help me what's going on?

So my question is if i bought a pearl gourami. Should i keep them in groups, or can i buy like one pearl, one dwarf, one something, and so on. Or should i just pick a kind and stick with it. Tank is 29 gallon and it will have two bristle nose plecs and 4 corys

one of the fake coral decorations i bought at wal mart today is sticky. not like something spilled on it, but just sticky. i rinsed it well with hot tapp water and its still sticky. should i put it in my saltwater tank or will it be bad for my fish?

Ok I have mollies. I have one white female with popeye now. The rest are fine. I am assuming that she was pushed into something. She doesnt seem to be stressing. Water quality is good. Doing water changes and adding salt. I have cured a beta that way. I don't want to medicate yet. Any other suggestions?

we have about 50 comets and 20 Koi. How many more can we put in there. We have a comet and its side is bulging we think it is pregnant we put it in a tub in the basement. We were also wondering if the mom or any other comets or Koi will eat her babies. Does there have to be a male involved to have babies. because we got them for free and we arent sure if they kept the dad or not. should we keep the mom in the tub or seperater them Thanks a lot

My tank is a month old, we have several fish already....which I know some people don't agree with alot of you guys think we should of waited, I know. I took a water sample to the pet store today and the p.h. was at 8.0. What can I do to correct this. We do weekly h2o changes and dechlorinate the water- the water where I live is REALLY crappy. What should I do? The pet store recomends salt rocks??? How do I use them? My tank is 29 gallons with a bio wheel filter. We are doing 25% water changes and this is our first tank.

I have a glass 110 gallon aquarium that has the back side broken. The piece measures 60x21.5x3/8. Is there anyway to bond a piece of acrylic instead of glass that will with stand the water and pressure?

I work at a pet store and I keep getting customers asking about fiddler crabs. It seems that a teacher at a local elementary or middle school is giving away these crabs since they are learning about ecosystems.

I have been looking online for good care sheets with lots of info, and I think I have found one (http://www.elmersaquarium.com/10fidderlercrab.htm)

First, I'd like to know what you think the minimum sized cage should be.

Now I know that the temperature should be between 75-85 degrees, but how do I obtain this? Could I use a heat lamp, or does the water and land need to be at that temp? Also, could I use aquarium pH up/down to make the water a pH of 8.0-8.2? If I need to know anything else, please let me know.

Sorry about all the questions, but I'd like to help out these parents the best I can. I don't want all these fiddler crabs to dies becuase no one knows what their doing! Thanks!

I have a 55 gal tank and my mollies are reproducing like crazy and they are starting to get ick and I am wanting to know if I possibly have too much in the tank. I've tried ick medicine for 1 week and although it looks better on some fish, it is NOT completely cured. I have changed the water level last week and I will change it again tomorrow. and if I do have too many fish could I possibly sell the ones I have now??? Any suggestions?

One of my neon tetras is very restless, swimming with head tilted downward, tail up. It is still energetic, still wants to eat and still wants to play with the others. Is this a swim bladder issue? I've taken it out of the tank and put it in a secluded space. Any ideas?

will it hurt my sand bed if i have to move some to put in some fake decorations in my saltwater fish tank?

also, will it hurt it if i wash them with hot tapp water before i put them in?, should i let them dry off first, or can i just put the decor in?
