what about even normal silicon ????

Not just any silicone will do. It doesn't need to be specifically for aquariums, but it must at least be labelled 'food safe'.

I keep about 200 lbs of rocks in my tank for my cichlids and would never silicone them together - that way I can easily redecorate at whim and remove much more easily.

I would stick to aquarium silicon, as some silicon have chemical additives that are toxic to fish.

Sorry i thought they were the same thing, silicon sealant works well at sticking rocks together for cave structures.
