whats a cool aggresive fish to be put in a 29 gallon. id prefer to have at least two. and some hardy ones.

I know I have 2 white mollies, 3 black mollies, and 5 cat fish. One of my other fish has a greenish, redish, yellowish tail and a flat top body and normally stays at the top. One of mu other fish is flat an tanish. An other fish i have is a skinny gray fish with black dots on his tail. And I have 2 other fish that are small, flat neon, and have an orange line across them.

If I buy 2 or 3 cool water fish (Chinese Hillstream Loach). How long can I keep them in the bag that the shop will give me? It's probably going to be about 4 hours, if I get them.

hey

i have just (yest just this minit) perchased a fish tank (small) and i while i wait for its arival by post, i would like to know what pretty, colourful, intresting to look at fish i can use without buying a pump (just a plant) or needing to heat the tank.

the room it will be placed in has a relatively constant room temp.

any tips would be aprisiated.

I'm going to breed my 2 angelfish. Should I add amquel to the water first? I will be adding methelyne blue when I remove the adults after the spawning. Will this chemical combination hurt the eggs? Thanks for any help! Is there 2 products I can use together safely?

Just one of the many mystery critters that have popped up in my tank, and the newest one that I have found. This tank has been up and running for 8 months or so now. It has a couple Nassarius snails, four hermit crabs, one Mandarin fish, plus a bunch of feather dusters and misc. critters.
Not the best picture, hopefully when it gets bigger, I can get a better one.

So, what is it? :)

Over the last few days my fish have started dying one by one. I had a problem with fungus which i cleared but now this! They seem to be going to the top of the tank and gasping for air,there is nothing physical on them to say they are ill. I did a water change last night to see if that would help but it hasnt. I have a 18 gallon freshwater tank which has been running since november. Any help would be appreciated

So, suppose I have a 100cm long tank. I've heard that the cross brace effectively makes the 100cm tank as strong as a 50cm long tank, using the same glass thickness .

It would appear that I have grown a cotton-like fungus in my fish tank. It started to appear on one of our tank decorations and we removed it. Shortly thereafter my two angel fish died one after the other. I had a pleco that survived an extra couple of days after the angel fish died. My pleco died the other day and was entirely coated with this substance when we found him.
I guess what I'm really asking for is a scientific name for this and what I can do to prevent it next time.

Right after New Years, I bought two tropical Mickey Mouse fish and at the begining of this week, one of them died. I wasn't sure why, but I went to the pet store I had bought them from to get another so the remaining one wouldn't be alone. While I was there, the tech told me that I needed a tank with a good filter and airater. I bought a new tank with these things, water purifyer, and two new fish to accompany the remaining one. Today, I found both of the new fish floating around at the bottom of me tank, one this morning, and then one when I got home tonight. The fish I bought back after new years is still alive. I'm worried that she'll die too. Is there anything I can do to help keep them alive?

I had a little blind fish from petco..his eyeball was missing and if that wasnt sad enough he also had that gallbladder swimming thingie and i never did cure it..now the other one i have is not eating and hes floating to the top but not flipping over or anything and my other goldifsh keep picking at him now...im really worried hes going to die and hes the best one i got:( i have a 36 galloon tank and 5 goldfish in it and some bottom feeders...what can i do??!?! help!!

Experienced marine fishkeepers, please help! I just bought a Antennata Lionfish. He was feed a guppy while I was at LFS and was said to eat frozen food voraciously as well. What is the best type of food to feed? I live in a very rural area and do not have convenient access to live food (maybe weekly) and then it would mostly be guppies,ghost shrimp and goldfish. How often and what would you suggest? Thanks a bunch!!!!
