Depends on the size. A small fish presented with a marshmallow that won't fit in its mouth will either ignore it or nibble off small pieces. If the fish's gullet is large enough the marshmallow will be swallowed like anything else. If the marshmallow fits in its mouth but is too large to swallow quickly, it will start to dissolve and may choke the gills with sticky gunk. In most cases, however, the fish will clear the stuff before it dies - they have a very low metabolism and more tolerance of hypoxia than mammals.
In other words, it might provide you with some entertainment but it's mean and probably won't kill them.

Ain't funny. Marshmallows are used as trout bait. To answer the question. It eats the marshmallow. As for ninjaboy I always thought mimzys were in the boragroves and the momraths were outgrabe. (Alice In Wonderland). But I might be wrong. Did I forget to mention the brilig slythy toves? Sheesh, another one bites the dust of the Mad Mixer.
