I have 1 goldfish. It has been livng for 6 years. It is a super goldsih, or at least I think so. 2 times, it jumped out of its tank landing in it with a big SPLASH! On the 3rd time, at landed on the carpet. Next, my dad droped gravel on it, almost crushing it. Its right fin nearly got ripped of. My family and I don't really do water changes for it. However, the goldfish is still in great health. Is this a super goldfish? Tell me why or why not, please.

P.S. All these accidents happened this month. About 20 more happened in its past years.

i had to do an emercency water change (ammonia too high) for my four little platies, so i didn't have time to let it sit out for 24 hours. I put dechloriner in the tank before i added the tap water. After i finished putting in the water (i made sure it was very close to the temperature that was already in there) i watched the fish and noticed that the fish were way more active. They were swimming all over the place, and kept coming up to the glass. I don't know if they were just happy because the ammonia was down and not burning them, or if there was chlorine in the tap water that was burning them or something. They still are very active.. and seem to be playing, but i just wanted to make sure that was okay, or what should i do next time?

Water conditions are fine - but i cant stop these fine bubbles coming out of the skimmer and clouding the tank. I dont want to put any fish into the tank until the bubbles have gone. Hi. I've got 7 hermit crabs in a 55 gal. aquarium. Recently I decided to split the tank in half to keep the 2 larger crabs away from my tiny crab. How I ended up with such a size difference is beyond me.

Anyways, after I split the tank in two, one medium sized hermit crab has been spending nearly all day and night away from the others and climbing around constantly. It's very unlike him.

Any ideas as to where his sudden urge to explore and spend time away from the other crabs came from? I don't think he's about to molt. Does he just feel safer now that the big crabs are away? Even though all they do is sleep deep under the substrate.

I live in the usa, and was wandering , what's a good price to sell guppies at to a pet store?
I've haerd many ranges, but what's the best average. I have so many- and they wont stop breeding, so I was planning to sell some babies for profits. Then, the profits will go to my aquariam.

Thanks.

If you have seen the red sea aquarium, can you tell me what you think of it? If you have one can you also tell me what you like about it? Do you think it is cruel to keep marine fish in such a small aquarium?

My 3 year old thought he was helping and dumped an entire can of flakes into my freshwater fish tank. If it helps I have 3 neon tetras, 3 diamond tetras, 1 swordtail, and 1 betta.

I was just wondering if this is normal and if the little ones will be ok? And if not what could I do? Thx!

he' been doing ok for awhile then it started as a gray slash mark on his eye. then it got better than 2-3 days later there was a sac like thing covering his one eye. we are treating him for bug eye with tetracycline tablets that petco and petsmart recommended. he has had it for over a month now but it seems to not bother him alot. He can still see things move out of that eye and still eat fine. what is this and what is the treatment!

I don't just mean to prevent the water from getting dirty. If my beta sees me anywhere near his tank he comes up to me begging for food. I put the food in one piece at a time until he doesn't want anymore, and if a piece starts to fall to the bottom he swims as fast as he can to catch it before it gets lost in the rocks. He eats atleast 15 pellets a day, rarely does one make it to the rocks. Is it bad for him to eat that much?

I took him out of the tank with the other red devil that seems to be attacking him since hes been sick. I put him in a big bucket with a water pump and neutralized the water. I actually trapped him and put a tiny bit of antibiotic ointment on his infection.

I am going to get a 5 gallon tank Saturday, but I don't know how many can fit in it. Also, should I put in some of my fish that I mentioned in my other questions in there instead or should I go with getting the honey gourami(s)? Your answers would be much appreciated! Thank you for all who answer! :-)
