First of all, you've done the right thing in separating it from the others.

It's very difficult to tell what exactly could be wrong, so I'd suggest you get a good all round treatment such as methylene blue. Put a small amount in the water you're keeping the fish using the guidelines on the bottle. If you're using a filter with the water that fish is in, remove the carbon and zeolite filter media as it will take the treatment out of the water.

Hope all goes well with it!!!

Go look for a product by Wardley called Parasite Plus, if you can not find that try Maracide Plus. It will treat parasites and infection all at the same time. Sounds like you may had an anchor worm then a fungal infection set in. Increase your aquarium salt in your gold fish tank to at least 1 tablespoon for every 10 gallons of water. Make sure it is aquarium salt or rock salt that is Non Iodized! Iodine found in table salt will kill your fish. Also even though gold fish can live in cool water I find my Orandas do best in a temp. about 76-78 year round. Also make sure you change 25-30% of your water every 6 weeks. Good Luck!

Coldwater fish (especially goldfish) can develop tumours / growths just as we can and a lot of the time there's not a lot you can do. It's so hard to diagnose a problem without seeing it but here's what i'd do.

It's now on it's own so if it's still feeding and the problem doesn't get any worse then leave it alone and let it get on with life.
If it goes off it's food or the affected area starts to look worse then i'd take it out of the tank and give it a knock on the head i'm afraid.

You don't really give enough details! Is it a pond fish or is it kept in a small tank with several others!
It sounds like internal organ displacement which is very common in goldfish kept in unsuitable accomodations. They suffer from 'stunting' which means they outwardly stop growing but unless quite large internal organs don't. Usually the fish die before any symptoms show.
Without seeing the fish though it's really difficult to diagnose! Try an anti-internal bacteria treatment or general tonic! Try asking at your lfs too. If possible take photos of both areas and post on one of the excellent web-sites. look under tropical fish-keeping.
Good luck I hope it makes it!

Those could be parasites, tumors or even a bacterial infection. Internal disorders are very difficult at best to diagnose and even worse from just a discription. If there is any way for you to add a photo or two of the problem areas it might help. I'll watch the question in case you can and change my answer if I can offer any insight.

sooner or later won't wreck your nutrition regimen. provide up obsessing. in case you're workout lots you will possibly be able to wish that many energy besides. in case you're on a weightloss nutrition regimen it particularly is a robust theory to plot for some nutrition treats 2 to 3 circumstances a week; this reduces the prospect of a cheat day. Treats are deliberate so which you eat purely the take care of and not extra. Treats must be one hundred energy or so -- 2 Oreos, "single" chocolate bar, a million/2 cup frozen yogurt, chocolate pudding cup, etc.

I suggest you take your fish to to your vet. It's impossible to diagnose the problem just from your description. It could be a parasite, it could be a growth, it could be anything. You need proper professional advice.
