I am going to get a 5 gallon tank Saturday, but I don't know how many can fit in it. Also, should I put in some of my fish that I mentioned in my other questions in there instead or should I go with getting the honey gourami(s)? Your answers would be much appreciated! Thank you for all who answer! :-)

None. Why not just go for a 10? They cost about the same as 5's. You could probably put a pair in a 10, but it would be tight.

The general rule is one gallon per inch of fish. So five one inch fish would fill the tank, similarly one five inch fish would fill the tank. Of course you will need to allow for growing room! Also, I recommend starting your tank with inexpensive fish the pet store can help you with this. Until your tank is up and running with fish for a few weeks, more sensitive fish like the ones you mentioned might get sick and die. If the "starter" fish are all thriving you can usually bag them up, take them back to the pet store for some credit and get the gouramis. Good luck!

Honey Gouramis reach 2 inches when full grown, so I would recommend only having 2 in your 5gal tank. No more.

well, check how big they get, and then since it's a 5 gallon, that means you can fit 5 inches of fish. :^D
