plecostomus fungus question?

I believe I have a body slime and eye clould on my plecostomus. I bought some fungus cure (api brand) but im worried because I vaguely remember that there is some kind of medicine for fish that will harm plecos. any help would be appreciated

Should be perfectly safe for your pleco. I would suggest you check your diagnosis carefully though. If it's not cottony looking odds are high the fish has a bacterial infection or a protozoan infestation, not a fungus. If you feel you may need further help feel free to drop me a line.
