I set up my tank yesterday and read al the rules. I'm going to get my first fish tomorrow and it'll probably be a zebra danio as i heard they're very hardy. However, this weekend I'l probably add another 2 for the next few weeks and I'm thinking about another Zebra, 2-3 Tetras, 2-3 Guppy and a Pleco or other sucking fish. Will these fish get along and what should the temperature be set at for all of them to be happy?

I got a 10 gal. set up for Christmas and just set it up today and I was just wondering how many fish I should put in it. I want to keep the amount safe and everything.

Also...what kinds of fish would go good with Guppies?

Thanks!

You see some clear stuff and black dots have been forming at the bottom of our tank. and ever since that started, all of our fish including a frog have died except for our silver dollar fish.

So we decided to get new water in there, new gravel, and a new filter. But what I need to know is do we need a new wheel for the new water? will it take whatever is wrong with the old water to the new water if we use the old wheel? thanks if anybody knows.

What should I do with the baby guppy?
I saw a tiny baby guppy in my tank yesterday. She disappeared under a rock, but I'm worried that she'll get eaten by the other fish. We have a good amount of plants and a large sunken ship, so there are probably some good places to hide. Should I try to find the baby guppy and move her to another tank or a breeding tank for safety? Or just leave her be? (I don't even know if she's alive still--I haven't seen her since yesterday).

My female guppy fish was pregnant(and yes i am possitive she was pregnant) for about 2 and a half weeks, and she was pretty big, when all of the sudden she stopped eating. i tried feeding her for 3 days and then i thought maybe she would be better in a breeding chamber so i put her in one and she still wouldnt eat and 2 days later she died without giving birth at all. Nothing is wrong with my pH level tempurature or anything that i can think of.....do you have an answer for why she died?

I've bought the female already and she has been floating for 1/2 day in his aquarium. If this isn't a good idea, can I put her in my freshwater tank?
I'm only doing this for company for the male. My kids thought he looked lonely :^(

I have two pair of convicts, a pink pair, and a black pair. The pink pair has started to breed but the black have not. The pink couple has rearranged all the gravel around their flower pot. They have removed it actually creating a trench. Why is this? Will it affect the fry if I move the gravel back? Also the black female will go into her flower pot, but will get ran out by the pink female. My final question is, When the black has fry, will she defend them, or will she still surrender to the pink? Answer all 3 questions please.

We set up a 5 gallon starter aquarium for our kids a little over a month ago. We purchased 2 neon tetras. The tank at Petsmart had lots of little babies in with the neons, and the chick helping us put about 7 in for "free", not figuring they'd survive. Well, they did. All of them. But they aren't tetras! Looking at pictures of fish, they appear to be guppies. So... we are upgrading to a 10 gallon tank so that our 9 fish have more room. Can the tetras and guppies continue to live in harmony? Thanks!
