Oranda are also known as "Brambleheads" or "Lionheads",this is probably what you mean, the names are,of course due to the shape of their heads, remember with these fish the tank must be really well aerated,

I think whoever told you this name is just making up their own name based on the jelly-like looking growth on the heads of some goldfish which are called "wens." Any kind of goldfish can be bred to have a wen, however, orandas are the ones you most typically see having wens, but, some other goldfish you might see having wens might be lionheads, eggfish and even pearlscales. I am attaching a link of pictures of all the different kinds of goldfish, including those that have wens. The second link is to the best goldfish site on the web. It has discussion groups and articles on any subject you can think of regarding goldfish. You can navigate all around looking up information from cycling tanks, to water changes, to proper feeding, bowls vs. aquariums, diseases, etc. In my own opinion, goldfish are the cutest fish there are. They are the fishy version of puppy dogs who snuggle and play and make you smile just like little furry puppies. If you are considering keeping goldies, read up on them so that they will be happy and healthy and all the best of luck to you!

Have worked in the fish trade for twelve years and never heard of such a fish!
It must be an Oranda. Orandas have lumps on their heads like their brain is trying to escape!

Or a similar fancy goldfish with a wen (the "jelly" on their heads) like a lionhead?
