That size tank is barely big enough for the two goldfish let alone all the others. You need more tanks. Also Oscars can and will eat fish that are smaller than they are. I would suggest that you set up a tank for just the oscars, and it should be at least 10 gallons. Set up another for the cichlids, preferably 20 gallons or bigger, and leave the goldfish where they are. Depending on the size of the tetra they probably could stay with the goldfish. A good rule of thumb is one inch of fish per gallon of water. So bigger fish go in bigger tanks, and remember, your fish will grow. This will help avoid over crowding, fighting and your tanks from getting icky fast. They should have told you this when you bought your fish.

well for one a 5 gallon can only support the tetras. just one oscar need a 50 gallon at the least. cichlids are the same way. oscars and cichlids are very aggressive fish and will eat the goldfish and tetras. get a bigger tank for thoes fish. if you want to keep them all i would suggest something bigger then a 150gallon. you will kill your fish if you keep them in that 5 gallon. i would also suggest that you read up on them.
hope that helps

I'm assuming that this not a real question, because I can't imagine anyone dumb enough to put that many large fish in a small tank that small, but anyway.
Your fish are fighting because they are not compatible and they are in a tank that is far too small.
Oscars need 60 gallons EACH as adults. Goldfish need 20 gallons EACH. 2 tetras would be fine in a 10 gallon tank. Cichlids, depending on the size, need 10-20 gallons each.
I suggest that you return your fish to the petstore immediately, because they WILL die soon if kept together in a 5 gallon tank.
Get a betta instead.

gold fish are peaceful fish and that tank is to small goldfish create lots of wast cichlids are pretty aggressive and Oscars are very aggressive you would have to get at least a 50 gallon tank and the gold fish are not going to live in there in a 50 gallon tank the cichlids would be able to swim away if the Oscars were to attack them.

Look for the oscars to eat everything that they can. Soon you will only have four oscars in the tank. A little bit of advice: A five gallon tank is too small for oscars as they grow to about 8 inches.

As a fish breeder, I can tell you that you have too many fish in your tank. Next, Oscars, Tetras, & Cichlids are agressive fish and they will try to take over your tank, I suggest that you get a larger tank and also seperate these fish from each other. goldfish give off a strong amonium and will kill the others...

because you have mixed community fish with loner-fish. oscars should only be kept with other oscars, likewise for cichlids. they are both aggressive-semiaggressive.
goldfish, because of they produce so much waste, should also be kept in a tank only with other goldfish (unless you have a super-filter to clean the water).
in addition, consider removing most of the fish from this tank. in a healthy tank, you should only have one inch of fish per gallon. that makes 5 inches of fish, which that would be 5 tetras, or 2 oscars, or 3 goldfish, etc.
in summary, they are probably fighting because there are too many fish, and some of your fish are naturally aggressive!
good luck.

I actually have good and undesirable information. Your crabs and crayfish change right into a wide determination for cleaniness of the bottom of the tank. The snail change into also a wide determination for the glass. Now, the undesirable information and that i will sorry to allow you to already know. you've blended a set of fish that do not blend, rather in the adventure that they are all in that similar 10 gallon tank. i am going to commence consisting of your siamese combating fish. you'll merely have fulfillment if all of them are woman or a million male and three women human beings. in the different case they are going to strive against until eventually they kill one yet another. Male siamese are very colourful with lengthy rayed fins and women all and multiple seems boring with short fins. The goldfish ought to've been o.k. until eventually you further the cichlid kinfolk (oscars-and your different 4). Oh I forgot, crayfish are also a probability to the goldfish, because in the adventure that they get their claws on them, they merely grew to change into nutrition except the goldfish is very much higher than the crayfish. Cichlids are an finished yet another tale. Your Oscars on my own will right away outgrow something in that tank in an rather couple of minutes. They income a minimum of an a million" in step with month and they get an accepted length of 12". You did not reference your different 4 cichlids, so i will't allow you to already know something about them, merely that they are going to get consisting of your oscars for the period in-between, or a minimum of until eventually the oscars outgrow them and commence domainating who's boss. i ought to rather recommend to purchase yet another tank that is interior of your buget for the cichlids for now and seperate the siamese combating fish into small conatiners of their very personal. you could bypass to a close-by Walmart or something like it and get siamese combating fish bowls or small siamese divided tanks for affordable! you in all likelihood would not spend no more effective than $5-$15 depending which approach you chosen. Your cichlids are definetly going to favor their very personal tank because they're the aggressors of the bunch and could challenge each and every thing contained in the tank finally. Outer species companions with the Oscars for tank cleansing are Plecos. also, the reply for your question can be a rather functional Canister or means filter out because the tank sounds overcrowed. i recommend a means filter out like AquaClear, Emperor, or Penguin. funds for those are round $20-80.

If the Oscars haven't eaten all the other fishes, they will. A 5 gallon tank is too small.

First of all Oscars eat goldfish!! and second of the tank is way to small with all them in it!! How would you like to live in a one room household with 17 other people in it? You need to separate some of them and buy a bigger tank.
