You mean like a terrarium? Or a paludarium (half-filled with water)?
If you mean for it to be an aquatic environment, then your options would be frogs or shrimp. You could get a colony of African Dwarf Frogs, or a large colony of red cherry shrimp, and lots of plants, and it would look really nice.

If you want to go with a terrestrial animal, a small snake like a female corn snake, or a rosy boa would work, or a few leopard geckos or fat-tailed geckos.

If you want to do half/half, you can fill it about 1/3 with water, then arrange some stones / gravel so there is some land space, and you could get some newts or frogs, or, if you want you could go with some salted water and a hermit crab.

Go to a reptile show the next time one comes to your area. They have all kinds of exotic turtles with odd behaviors and colors.

At these things, they also sell stickbugs. those can be neat.

A couple suggestions are you should get a shark. They are cool and can make a cool pet. Or you could get some turtles. They are good pets and are easy to take care of.
