PLEASE EXPERIENCED FISHKEEPERS...

I was given a 30 gallon extra tall aquarium and would like some suggestions about which fish I should transfer... and HOW?

In my 75 gallon I have 1 red devil (7 in), 1 Gold Severum (4 in - mate died), 2 clown loaches (6 & 3 in, 2 whiptail catfish (4 & 3 in), 2 rescue blood parrots (5 & 3 in) growth stunted - smaller was in hospital tank until recently, and I am considering rescuing a Tin Foil Barb (probably growth stunted 5 in) & a Single Kissing Gourami. All fish except those I mentioned I am considering rescuing have been housed together in my 75 gallon for at least 10 weeks. BTW, the rescue fish were / are all in a 10 - 20 gallon AND not the tank I inherited.

The tank size is 24 high, 24 long and 12 wide.Is the 30 gallon enough for the devil if he is housed alone (the filter is an eclipse 30-60 gallon)?Should I add mates? Put the barbs, severums, gouramis together?

Can I use water from my other tank for setup? Expect Nitr cycle?

After a couple days my ammonia creeps up. Typically after 3 water changes within a day it will come back down. Maybe there are too many fish in the tank?

2 Orange fish 1.5" in length, Mollies I think
2 XRay Tetras 1" in length
1 Spotted Catfish 1" in length.
2 Algae eaters 1"-1.25" in length.
2 Dwarf frogs – 1” in length

As for feeding them, I've been putting food in, whatever they don't eat after a minute or so, I scoop back out.

We bought the tank about a month ago (10 gallon), let it run for a few days (added cycle), and added a few fish, later added more. After 3 weeks our ammonia levels where off the charts, even after changing a 1/3 the water several times a day, and adding anti-ammonia stuff, it wouldn’t come down, so I changed all the water. The levels were good for a week in this fresh water. I did add the cycle stuff again to the new water before putting the fish in it.

I'm using a BioWheel filter meant for a 30 gallon tank.

My molly is dying. I've done everything I can think of to help him, but he is just dying slowly. It hurts me to see him like this. Is there any way I can humanly kill him? He's suffering

my brother has a tank of 2 algae eaters, and 4 neon tetras. he hasn't had them for long, and then today my mom cleaned out their tank, (as we usually do with our fish) and while they were in the container, as my mom was cleaning their tank, all 4 neons suddenly died! we don't know what happened, and it's weird, bcuz if this really happened every single time somebody's fish's tank needed cleaning, we'd be running out to the store every week to buy new fish. i know they are weak fish, and we do have a filter in their tank, but what might be the cause of their death? this never happened with our old neons, or all the bettas we've had. i think it's kinda weird........

thanks for answering :)

Do goldish require an airpump, or do they get their oxygen from the surface?

Also, once Algae starts to grow in the tank, can the Plecostomus(sucker) fish live off of that, or do they still require algae and shrimp flakes?

Just got a new clownfish and small saddled pufferfish (valentini puffer) and added them to my 55 gal saltwater tank. Now, the four stripe damsel who has been there since the very beginning has never had a problem with other fish, until I put in this saddled puffer. He's tiny, and will grow some more, but about the same size as the damsel. The damsel keeps lunging at it around the face and upper torso, looks like possibly trying to nibble it. Now, I know I just introduced them, but should this behavior continue much longer? If so, should I seperate the damsel for awhile?

Any suggestions? My current fish let all the food go past them and now there is a bunch of food on the bottom of the tank.

They are under a 40 or 60 watt light. From the looks of it, there are a hundred or more in the tank. There are some very small triops in the tank that look like they just hatched. Some swim like they are going up and down, while others swim around like a fish would and they look sort of like little oblong balls. They are in a one litre tank (I think that's how big it is). Thanks.

the two from the dealer (in the products picture) look nothing like others i have seen on the net.. im hoping these are just the juvenile colors. does anyone own any of these or know a source where i can order some and ensure getting a colorful specimen? also interested in albino eureka red peacock (common name). the local dealer so far can only order a pair and it cost around 60 dollars. if you own any of these im interested in how they look as adults too and any other info you can add..thanks :)

My female guppy has been pregnant well over 35 days and she still has not popped. I read on the internet that they will quit eating when they are ready to give birth and she eats like its her last meal?? Is there another way or is she going to die?

I just bought a fiddler crab habitat and got six fiddler crabs separately. They're quite small and eat shrimp pellets. I'm wondering if anyone else has owned them and can tell me if they get any larger, or any other information.

Okay, i'm not sure what is wrong but this has been happening for the last 1 month. First, when i bought my new fish tank, i let is sat for 1 week or so. Then 3 weeks later, i put my first betta in (my other fishes died of diseases). but all my male betta ever does is swim really fast against the glass, and keeps on doing that 24/7 he only stops when i come to feed him. I knew something was wrong with the tank so i changed all the water and changed the betta, i put my female in later, but she does the samething. So i changed the water again and waited 3 days before i put my male in again (i took the female out) but it didn't get any better, he is still swimming really fast against the glass like if he is trying to get out. Then 2 days later, my ghost shimp died, i noticed it is because it stops moving or moving very slowly. Now i know something is VERY wrong with the tank, i did everything but nothing helps AHHHH! HELP ME!
