I work at a vet clinic and I see labs all the time. They are just the best dogs in the world! I mean sure they are hyper but just so sweet. I would love to own a lab but I can not afford a dog right now. When I can I will be getting one. Do any of you own a lab?

Please serious kind respecatble answers.. Here is the scenario.. Am breeding my purebred with another purebred. He already had connected with her 4 times. The neighbors dog was let to roam around loose and got attached to my purebred once. What are the chances of my purebred getting pregnant with the neighbors mutt? Would my dog have a combination litter? How many times necessary for the sire to connect with the female purebred during her heat?

Has anyone had any experience with the K-9 carts (wheelchair type devices for dogs with weak hips)? I'm thinking about getting one for my 10 year old German Shepherd and would like to know if anyone has ever used one and how well their dog adjusted to it. Thank you.

Can You Register A Neutered Male Boxer With CKC? He is intact now - but I am thinking about getting him neutered. Should I wait until he is registered with CKC or does it matter.. What if I neuter him AFTER he is registered. Will that disqualify him?

ok so i posted a question the other day and got alot of negative feedback because i'm trying to adopt a dog (i found a shelter willing to work with us(thanks to those who posted on my lastQ)) and need to keep it otside for a few hours ( with adequete food, shelter, and fencing) when guests who don't like or can't be around dogs visit. Isn't more humane to pu them outside for a few hours then to keep them shut up in a room? also looking for other ideas of what i could do in these situations... id hate to have my friends stop visiting b/c they cant be around or dont like dogs, but id hate to have a dog left out during these visits and many have made it clear if i need to put it outside i shouldnt adopt. i really dont agree with them but am trying to see all possible solutions. can i just have my dog around those who dont like them ( in my home)? and what about those who really cant be around them? how can i leave the dog inside and not affect them?

Yup, Im asking the question that every dog owner wants to know...
How big

He is now about 40kg at just over 7 1/2 months and is about 23 inches at the shoulders give or take) and is built like a tank, with no fat but loose skin

He is supposable a Neo mastiff so I was expecting a big dog... how big is the question

I got him from a rescue that was closing down, so I can not contact them in regards to to any of this

I know this is one of those greatly hated questions, but i've ran out of ideas. So, as some of you might know, I had a chocolate lab, who passed away about 4 years ago. (I miss her dearly) I'm trying to convince my parents to get a Labrador Retriever. They say house is too small, puppies are wwaayy too much work, labs shed too much, theyre too big, they eat everything, they go nuts when ever some one comes to the door AND you wont take care of it.

Well, when we had our other lab, (i was newborn-9 years old) my parents didn't really know too much about how to properly care for those problems. We brushed her about once a month, if even, fed her a generic dog food with many fillers, & never trained her when she was a pup (except sit and housebreaking).

Their biggest thing is the responsibility factor. I AM respnsible. I have been researching this dog breed and training, housebreaking, etc. etc... I get straight A's, and am really responsible. How do i show them that?

.....decide that sitting on there rear end posting questions online to people who are just gonna tell them to contact there vet decide to waste here time online instead of helping there pet right away by finding a qualified person to help them handle the situation???

I have this friend, and she just got a pit bull puppy. He is the cutest puppy ever!! But she doesn't really have the time to take care of him, he thrashed her house because she didn't get him a kennel, she doesn't ever really give him any attention. She doesn't give him loves, she basically feeds him and thats it. Well the other day she gave him away to one of her friends because she didn't want him anymore, do you think was a good idea? I know that she wasn't a responsible enough owner, but it breaks my heart because I loved her dog... she loved him too, she just didn't have the time for him. I guess my question is, is it worth it for her to give it another shot, or should she just leave her puppy with her friend?

My vet is recommending that I feed my 13 year old, 70 lb dog Hill's Prescription Diet W/D because my dog has a high level of fat in her blood and crystals in her urine. That food is pretty pricey, so I'm wondering if there's a less expensive food that would address those problems. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I bought a new puppy which is supposed to be a chihuahua cross jack russell but after looking at pictures and speaking to a few people i have a feeling she may be a Manchester Terrier! Is there anyway that i could find out for sure what she is? The person i bought her from showed me the father and mother but she doesnt look like any of them, i have a feeling they may have had other dogs but cant be sure
! I fell in love with her anyway so it doesnt matter what she is but i just want to find out for sure! Would a vet be able to tell for sure? Or is there any other way i could find out!?

ok. here's the story. my landlady had a dog that ran loose around our house. we have 2 black labs that we pay 80 dollars extra in rent per month for. her dog had been coming over to our house, (where our dogs ARE tied up) and eating my dogs food and trying to breed with my female. i asked her several times to please keep the dog tied up,and she still let it run loose. now the dog has been found dead and since i complained about the animal she is trying to say i poisoned her dog and stated that she might evict me. can she do this? i didn't do anything to the dog. i have lived there almost 2 years and always paid my rent on time. we pay every two weeks with no lease or contract, she just writes a receipt each time we pay. what are my rights and how long must my eviction notice be for? do i have the standard 30 days? i live in tennessee, if anyone would know the laws about this issue for this state.
