Yeah, bringing a dog home without their permission will work *real* well I'm sure... Note sarcasm.

Even if it sucks that your parents are against it, it will suck even more if you take a puppy home and they make you get rid of it because you disobeyed them.

If you think there is any chance that they will eventually let you have a dog, then research a lot first for a while. Get a good book on dog care and breeds, learn what a good breed would be for your living situation. Then keep an eye out in your local paper and postings elsewhere. If you find out about puppies available of a breed you have in mind that would be a good fit in your home, THEN talk to your parents about possibly having one.

Why do you want a puppy? Everyone wants a puppy or something cute to love and blah blah blah but you don't have a job to pay for his food or shots. Puppies cost a lot of money and will need a lot of time and patience something that not even adults have. Just go look at an animal shelter and see all those poor animals that are there now. Someone like you wanted them for their cuteness or whatever reason and then they grew out of that feeling as soon as the responsibilities and dog grew. Please if you care about a puppy or even yourself do not do it. Your parents obviously don't want to get the puppy so why would you want to put a puppy in a situation where it will just be unwanted and taken to a shelter. I have been waiting my whole life to even get my puppy because I take it seriously and respect every living thing. I am 24 and have my job now and have been learning about dogs and everything that applies to taking care of them so that I will not make a mistake with him because I would hate to make him unhappy. At least wait till you can get a part time job or have done enough research about your desire! Do you have any idea how much it cost a pet parent per year to take care of a dog? What will you do when it gets sick? What about spaying or neutering your pet? Toys? Food? Medicine? Shots? Walks? What about when you go to school and your parents are at work? Do you know that dogs get separation anxiety? They aren't toys to be used when ever you want and then left alone. Do your research if you really care and really want one.

Why did your parents do that to your dog?
Seriously if you want one bad enough you will have one but atleast wait till your old enough to get like a part time job or something. What will happen when you grow a little older and all you want to do is party and go meet boys or when you have a boyfriend. These are like the best years of your life and you should spend them trying to find yourself and learning about life and then you can add a loved one to your life. Listen I took care of puppies since I was little. I even took care of snakes, ostriches, iguanas, ferrets, kittens, baby mice, newborn hamsters, birds just so many animals. I loved all those animals so much that I fed them food from our fridge. We were poor and I should not have done that but I cared more about the dogs and didn't know what it meant to be a true responsible pet parent.

A puppy is a lot like a baby. Would you seriously want to have a baby without having a job or even have lived your wonder years?

I don't mean it in a bad way and I understand how bad you want one but you must think of the situation that you will be placing your puppy in.

Anyone can love a puppy but not everyone can truly be there for one!

I don't think you can any where pets cost a lot of money then you have food, vet bills, and you have to have time to care for it so you need your Mom or Dad one in order to get one and if you do find someone who will let you have it with out your Mom or Dads ok please don't do it cause if they think your not ready they may make you find it another home and you will be hurt really bad and if they take it to the pound it could be killed if a new home is not found with in 5 days just keep trying to prove to them you are ready for one and maybe they will help you

No one should, but some people do, i see alot of people standing outside stores giving away free puppies to whoever wants one. I really think you should wait untill your older, or if you really cant wait try showing your mom you are really responsible and can take care of a puppy, tell her how much getting a puppy means to you. who knows maybe she will change her mind. good luck

No one. If you aren't willing to respect your parents' decision about what happens in their house and where their money goes (a dog costs about $1000 a year to maintain, do you have that kind of money for the next decade or so?) then you probably aren't mature enough to care for a dog singlehandedly.

-Edit-
Really? How did you manage to drive her to the vet all by yourself? How did you take her to obedience class all by yourself? How did you watch her when you were in school? And your parents killed your old dog and you still want to bring another one into your household without their permission?! Real mature.

to be honest with you, no one will. how are you going to take care of a puppy? puppies are very expensive
vaccines, spaying/neutering, food, toys, crates, training
and what if the puppy gets sick?
do you know how to take care of a sick puppy?
puppies will get you up in the middle of the night, chew on your things, urinate and defecate in your room...
just wait, there will be plenty of time down the road for you to get a puppy. maybe your parents will let you volunteer at a shelter if you truly want to be around animals.

No one would give a puppy to a 14 year old and no adult consent. That would be a ludicrous idea to any breeder or shelter! I suggest you buy a webkinz dog to play with online if you are so desperate!

You probably shouldn't. If your parents don't want you to get a dog, they probably won't help you with it. And you'll need help! Wait until you're older, or convince your parents that you are serious about a dog, and will be very responsible about the dog.

You cannot have a puppy until you are able to take care of it. That means an adult would have to be responsible for vet bills and care, pet food, etc.

Wait until you are older.

Hopefully no one. Don't get a puppy without permission because I'm almost positive it will end up in a pound.
