Sounds like you want it more then your Mom try this visit msn search put in chihuahua breeding get your Mom to look at the sites with you and just ask Mom would you like to have one of these dogs and see what she says or maybe you could say that you would like one but before giving pets as a gift you should always know for sure if the person really wants it cause a lot of the dogs in pounds is from this very thing a person gets a pet as a gift and don't want it

Since this will be your mom's dog, you should ask her if she wants one. A dog is a great companion and a wonderful friend, however, they are a lot of work and a lot of financial commitment.
From what you have written, it sounds like you are wanting the dog yourself, but you don't mention if you mom wants one. Since she is the recipient of the gift, I would suggest, after Christmas but before her birthday, sit down with your mom, tell her what you would like to do for her, and ask if this is something she would like.
Since this is her birthday gift, and not yours, you need to make sure this is something she would want. A small dog is a commitment for 15 years on average - which is a long time.

No. It kind of defeats the point of a present if you buy the person something YOU want...

If your mom wants a dog, she can get one. I'm not really sure what you mean by "purse puppy." If you want to emulate someone like Paris....wrong reason to get a dog...they don't stay puppies forever and I seriously doubt most of them like being carried around in a bag.

How about getting your mom some "coupons" that say you will....vacuum for her, give her a foot rub, wash the dishes, etc. THAT is a b-day gift I can guarantee your mom will love. And...it's free!

You always wanted a purse puppy, and you are going to buy one for your mom as a b-day gift? That sounds pretty sneaky. Maybe you should just ask your mom if you can have a puppy. If that dog falls in love with your mom, and your mom with the dog, then what? You'll want a dog of your own then.

Getting someone a dog for a present isn't always the best ideal. There is a lot of responsibility that goes with owning a dog and you have to consider the $$ involved with taking care of one too.

You're a pretty tricky girl. That's very smart of you to buy a dog for your mum so that you can have it as well. First, she must like dogs or otherwise it will be useless. Second, you are 12 and you can get a job ??? How cool is that. I'm 14 and still looking for a job. Good luck finding one.

Sounds like you want it for you. Do a lot of research into finding a good breeder and see if your mom will get it for you.

does your mother have the time for a dog? consider her work hours and the time she will have to spend with a new dog.
