Some dogs do not like getting wet and others do not like getting cold paws.
Many smaller breeds for this reason hate the snow and rain, and will refuse to go out in it.
Other larger or more rugged breeds love the snow and enjoy a good game of fetch or having some zoomies in it.

My Golden Retriever is looking forward to the Denver snow when we visit for Christmas time coming up really soon!

My dog is a Bichonpoo (Bichon Frise/ Toy Poodle) she doesn't like the snow either. She doesn't like to be cold or wet so rain and snow are not her thing. She tries to come right back in the house when I take her out in the rain or snow. I even put a jacket and/or a raincoat on her, it doesn't matter.

Our two dogs love the snow...they run.. roll and jump around in it. They love it when we make snowballs and throw it up in the air they come running and jump up and catch it....we have a Labrador Retriever and a German Shepherd.

Try going outside when you know it's going to snow...like when you see some snow coming down lightly like flurries... take your dog out for a walk in it before it accumulates on the ground your dog should get used to the snow that way.

Now, my Chihuhahua loves to play in the snow - he loves to run through the snow, play with it when I'm shoveling and the like...but I have always made being out there with him a good time. He can't be out there long, but neither can I when it's really cold...Rain on the other hand...is evil apparently. I think he might have gotten that from me though. LOL

My dogs LOVE the snow, can't keep them out of it. Course I go out in the snow and play w/ them, so they associate snow with fun. Go out and build a snow man w/ your dog.. And then let him kill the snow man.. see how much fun the snow is.

My dogs have never seen snow because it doesn't ever snow where I live! So I don't know if they'd like the snow.

Yes my dogs LOVE snow. They run around all crazy and have snowballs hanging from their coat when they come in from outside.

You have to take him out and play with him. Take some toys out and play with him. Make it fun for him.

My golden's love the snow! We had just abit last week and they were so happy and running in it and rolled in it too. I think they will be very happy to see snow again.

As a siberian husky, my dog absolutely ADORES it. She loves catching snowballs, rolling in it, digging in it, bounding through it, sleeping in it, pretty much everything. Hah.

Here's a short clip of her playing in the snow on a snow day last year.

Nope. I live in the south now where it doesn't snow, but when we lived where it snowed, I usually had to push them outside to pee. They'd hurry and do their business and then want right back inside.
