I suggest talking it over with a vet. There are some advantages and disadvantages of getting an older dog spayed.. I desided against for my 9 year old dog.. After i was told might not make it threw th surgery b/c she has had 3 litters.. The vet will be able to give you all teh pros and cons better then anyone on here. Good luck!

I would refer this question to your vet as they would be in the best position to examine your dogs fitness etc and let you know whether or not it has already been done.
Usually dogs are done at the puppy stage, if not after they have had a litter or two of puppies, depending on the owners wishes.

I think you should have gotten her spayed when she was young, but ask your vet if she is in fit condition to go through the surgery. There is no way I can tell if it is too late. All pups should be spayed if you don't want to have the risk of having pups around the house. I mean they are adorable when they are young, but they do grow up. That is why there are so many dogs in shelters. Good luck!

I would talk to your vet. They will know what's best for your dog. Usually puppies are supposed to be spayed or neutered around 6 months. =)

you need to talk to your vet about this. The vet will go over the pros and cons of getting your dog spayed and tell you what your best bet is to do.

Of course you should get her spayed -- you don't need to be breeding a dog at any age and it is deadly for her not to be spayed as every season she goes through increases greatly her chances of getting deadly mammary cancer.

If your dog isn't around males a whole deal, it won't matter. No male will start "making out" on the leash.
