And where can it be found? I need to kill the fleas in my house cause my puppy has them

Are the numbers for the total number of puppies in all of the litters or the total number of litters? I'm guessing it's the latter, but wanted to double check with someone who knows.

This morning, I lay in bed hung over from too much wine last nite and my phone rings at 6 am. Its the grocery store owner telling me my choco lab is running around town. I just picked her up from the dog pound 4 days ago, after she ran off while I was feeding her. So this morning, I went and picked him up in the truck and he was covered in dirt from digging under our new $3K dollar chain link fence.....and to think I thought he would jump over the top so they put in a 5 ft fence vs a 4 ft fence. Heck no! He has learned to dig. Do you have any ideas how to keep this dog from digging under the fence. The neigbors do not like him because he is always running to the farm next door and getting in with their dogs and it turns into a big fiasco My railroading boyfriend wants me to put metal rail under the fence so he cannot dig thru it. Do you think that would work or do you have any ideas?

It is healthy to use Borax on dogs to kill their fleas, leaving it in the fur for a few minutes while you watch them and make sure they dont eat it, right?

I have my first mixed-breed pup and have heard recently that it IS possible to get her registered (different type of reg. of course) and show her through AKC. I know for a fact my pup's sire is purebred german shepherd and the dam is purebred australian cattle dog....Obviously she wouldn't be eligable for breed-specific competitions like conformation but what i'm interested in is obedience/rally/agility. Does anyone know for SURE that this "limited registration" is possible to obtain titles? On AKC's website it was unclear weather or not the limited reg. was only for purebred dogs that didn't have papers or if they have something for mixed breeds as well.

My 7 year old blind shihtzu suddenly has developed this condition and was diagnosed by the vet a day ago. I have locked him in a dark room and I am giving him water by syringe. The vet has given him some medicine but he is still totally disorientated (unable to walk or stand). If anyone has experience with this condition or has any tips please let me know. It's extremely distressing to see him like this so your help would be greatly appreciated.

She is adorable but I was just curious about her breed. Here is a link to her picture. Thank you for anyone that might be able to help!!! The rescue shelter said she was a terrier mix but I didn't know if she looks like she has anything else in her. Thanks again!

My dog went in on Tuesday to be neutered (it is now Thursday). My dog since then has been acting very strange, which I assumed he would for a few days, but I think he is having trouble peeing or he feels like he has to go all the time and has actually had accidents on the carpet. When I take him outside he will squat to go but then he starts running around in the squated position, then he tries going about 4 or 5 more times? The first time he goes he is actually peeing... I am wondering if this is normal or if I should take him back right away?

If it should be that I grow frail and weak
And pain should keep me from my sleep,
Then will you do what must be done,
For this -- the last battle -- can't be won.
You will be sad I understand,
But don't let grief then stay your hand,
For on this day, more than the rest,
Your love and friendship must stand the test.
We have had so many happy years,
You wouldn't want me to suffer so.
When the time comes, please, let me go.
Take me to where to my needs they'll tend,
Only, stay with me till the end
And hold me firm and speak to me
Until my eyes no longer see.
I know in time you will agree
It is a kindness you do to me.
Although my tail its last has waved,
From pain and suffering I have been saved.
Don't grieve that it must be you
Who has to decide this thing to do;
We've been so close -- we two -- these years,
Don't let your heart hold any tears.

Many German shepherd dogs and their crosses have weakness in the hindquarters and are lame crocks while fairly young:Many English bulldogs have breathing problems connected to their deformed faces,Dacshunds have overlong backs which cause them problems.
I suppose there are many more of these problems which are clearly hereditary and inbred.I have been thinking about this for awhile and it seems to me that the kennel clubs policies must play a strong part in the U.K.For many years now it has been illegal to breed from crosses and crosses are always neutered. No doubt some do breed but most crossbreed pups must surely now come from pure bred parents and that must mean that breeding is coming from defective parents(unsuccessful showdogs being made to earn their keep before the final jab?)I think its scandalous,Im 73 years old and I never saw such horrors before the last 20 years.
Any body agree with me or otherwise:If you agree any idea what can be done ?

okay, so my dog is infested. but i dont understand why .. the grounds were sprayed last month, shes on flea pills from the vet, the vet also gave stuff to put onto her coat. she gets a bath once a week and shes STILL covered. they aren't on the cat. the arent biting us. its just her. i feel so bad because its like she cant walk 5 steps without stopping to scratch herself, and i know that has to suck. is there anything else i can do? i've washed her in flea and tick shampoo and the vet suggested dawn so i alternate by week, but its not helping . i swear they are multiplying by the second, and im out of ideas!! please help.
