I think it is, I have a chi who holds up is paw all of the time. And my other Chi will turn away when I pick him up (I adopted him at age 14) They are happy and healthy

I have a chihuahua as well and he does the same thing. Far as i know it is normal the only time he does it is when he is at attention or concentrating on something.He also sits like a prairie dog. It is very cute

Yea i know some one that has a Dixon and he dos the same thing it is a cut site for me but as most other people will think that is just one odd dog. lol.
