Is the question how many times has a Pug won a "Best in Show"??? Who knows. There are TONS of dog shows yearly in this country alone. Each one awards a BIS.
The Pug Club of America has a national speciality show yearly and that awards a "Best in Speciality Show".
What do you mean are Pugs used for special occasions????

The only way to begin to find out is by contacting the national parent club, The Pug Club of America. They usually keep statistics like this.

if the pug club of america is like the collie club of america, they will usually put out a yearly yearbook. the ones of the collies have the results from every show that year and they have a list of group placers, winners, and best in shows.
