I am getting 2 Lhasa Apso dogs for free and I need to know how to care for them. They are brother and sister called Brick (boy) and Sophie (girl). If anyone is interested in seeing them then post your e-mail address and i'll e-mail pics of them.

ok so i am having a debate with my brother he says that you are a hypocrit if you say you are an animal lover but then you eat a hamburger or some type of meat and when you say "that is so wrong" when you see people using their animals in dog fights or when people eat dogs or when people leave there animals in terrible living conditions. but then we eat pigs and cows and have millions of cows and pigs in slaughter houses. so what is your point of view. can you say you love animals and hate when they are hurt but then eat a hamburger and what not?

She is just a little over a year old and has had 2 in the past 4 months. I feed her By Nature food and she gets plenty of water. When giving her the antibiotics, I make sure she takes them when she is supposed to. Just wanting some suggestions.

It all started when i brought him home, Bonez, a black lab, (And he is not malnourished, he looks like detective bones from the show bones on fox) he ate one bird on the 2nd day and we yelled at him------then he ate a rabbit and he was agreesive about it, 2 months later we got a cat and something very BAD happened. We've tried everything we can think of to get the pet urine spots out. Everything from regular cleaners to shampooers and everything in between. There is a mix of old and new ones. Any cheap and easy suggestions?

the boxer is 4 yrs old and the black lab is almost 3 yrs old, i've both from pups on. both are house dogs and get along rather well til resently. there fights start with a growl then all heck breaks loose. the lab is now bigger than the boxer (all over). if it happens in the house the lab will go to his crate and the boxer will go at him. i don't want to give up either of my babies but i need to stop it before it gets any worse.....
any suggestions. also i live in the country so they do get alot of exersize, only in crates while i'm at work and at night, other than that they can do what ever they want (inside or out).

She will drink a full bowl of water and still acts like she is dying of thirst. This is a constant all day thing, and when she urinates its in a very large amount. Is this normal? If not what's wrong and what should I do?

I dont think what we are doing now is working, so what is the answer? I think maybe something like Germany. You would have to be licensed to be able to breed each specific animal (cats, dogs, hamsters, ect.) and before you are able to breed two animals they must pass a health exam including stuff like OFA for the hips and CERT for the eyes. Am I way off?? What do you think??

I was reading a previous post regarding dog food. I understand when buying dog food, you want to look at the ingredients, not just at the ingredients but the primary and secondary. I feed my dogs nutro - all of them has been on nutro simply because our vet recommended it and can be purchased at a pet store easily. However there is a site that rates dog foods but doesn't say how it is rated except for listing out the percentages of protein, fat, and fiber. Should an owner be concerned be concerned about fiber? I know as humans we need fiber to ... ahem poop? what about dogs? some dogs food has high protein but very low fiber. what is best for the dog? I have corgis if that helps answer my question

it was a month to month. he says that he didnt break the contract by saying i had to get rid of my dog. he keeps telling me that i have to give him thirty days notice. but why should i have to give that to him when he breaks the contract. he says that even if he kicks me out i have to pay for thirty days. this sounds crazy to me. now he wants to take me to court. i moved to this place specificly because i knew i could have my dog there. she was a rescue dog and when i got her i had to move to a place that took dogs. so i went to this place. do i have a case or am i going to have to pay this guy.

I have always owned a house and just sold the one that I live in. Well, because of personal reasons, I am going to have to rent for the next 1 or 2 years. I own a German Shepherd and have read about people on this site who own german shepherds having a hard time finding a place to rent. For those of you that have gone through this, how hard was it to find a place. Did you guys find a place that said they accepted pets in the paper, but when they found out you had a german shepherd, rott, apbt, or other "dangerous" dog they then said "no, any pets are ok except those". Or when you found a place that says they except pets, they usually except all pets??

In todays world, with all the information out there, there is not real reason to have your male dog fixed. Worried about over population, guess what, have responsibility on where your dogs goes and what it does. Cancer?? Read the link I pasted. In fact, it actually hurts your male dog to have it fixed, it is even more pronounced in large breed dogs. I have posted only one of many links that say the same thing over and over. In todays world, there really is no reason to fix your male dog other then if you dog actually gets cancer of a testicle. As the link says though, if you are a responsible dog owner and are doing regular checks of your dog, in the vary rare case of testicular cancer, you will catch it with more then enough time to have it taken care of. Should we remove the dogs eyes so it doesnt have eye problems. Should we remove one of the dogs kidneys so there is only half the chance of kidney problems? Let me know what you guys think.
