About 2 weeks ago, my puppy Moose, found a rat and was taking it in his mouth and playing with it. On thursday we sold him to a friend. Two days ago she said he was vomiting mucus like stuff. Today she called and said that he was very lazy abnd just slept in one place and wasnt eating. SHe said she took him to the vet and the vet said he had parvo.
Could it be Parvo?
Could the vomit just be coincidence?
Do you think he got it at our house, or did he indeed get sick at their house?
Do you think it could be depresasion?
******* HE DID NOT HAVE BLOODY STOOL********

I used a carpet cleaning solution. And I have poured Vinager where she pooped. Now it smells like pickled poop. I'm really not trying to be funny. I haven't tried baking soda yet. I'm waiting for the vinager to dry.

A. Call the number on the tag and when a confused old lady answers assume that it means that she's giving you her dog.
B. Snatch the dog and hide it in your house because if it has any owners they must be BAD owners, letting it out.
C. Take it to the animal shelter.
D. Lock your kids and dogs in the house because THAT kind of dog is really MEAN.
E. Scan the dog for a microchip, call its owner, put up signs and take care of it until you hear from its owner.
F. Give the dog to breed rescue.
G. Your choice... If none of the above suit your needs, you can tell us what the perfect thing for this doggie is.

I know this is a tough one! I've seen people answer all of the above in their questions, so it might be difficult to figure out the right answer. Good luck!

I have a 4 month old Chihuaha. She eats puppy, small bites Science Food. She also loves her chewy bones.
So what is the best treatment for her to stop threwing up. Could it be she is under the weather? We have a drastic weather change here in Utah. Cold and rainy and windy. But we are in a warm house.

My brother recently found a Poodle with tags. Her name said Madam Chloe King, but when he called the owner it was an old lady who wasn't sure what to do. He thinks she may have had alzheimers. Anyways he gave her t us, but we would really like to get papers on her. Is it possible to get papers on her without having any info? Also, how can you tell if the dog has had babies, or has been fixed. Her nipples seem to stick out some, but not saggy at all. Any info would be great!

I'm getting a dog cart in about a week (YAY!! CAN'T WAIT!!)
here's a link to it: http://www.k9carting.com/carts.html
However, I'm not ready to shell out $40-50 on 3 harnesses, when I'm pretty sure that, with the right instructions, I could make one myself for much cheaper. Any one know how/ where? Thanks!

Hi. I have a problem with my siberian husky dog. He is 1 year old male. My husky refuses to enter the car, when i'm going somewhere and want to take him with me. Somehow he will resist a lot when i try to put him in the car. I'd open the door and point him towards the seat, but he would try to change direction and escape. I then have to lift him up, and forcibly put him on the back seat. Once i drive he starts making uncomfortable gestures and looks very scared. He would keep on changing positions in the back seat -- from the right window to the left window. The car is clean and its not even been one year since i bought it (its 2007 toyota corolla). Why my husky is uneasy with my car?

I got a puppy almost half a year ago... I don't think she likes me or my husband or staying inside. All she wants is to stay outside...doesn't like being inside (she's a Maltese). She doesn't come to us. She still doesn't trust us. She doesn't follow. She's totally the opposite of our other maltese. She doesn't wag her tail when she sees us. It's like she's not our dog.

What should I do with her?

I've been giving her more attention than my other dog...just to warm up to her. And it's not working. She's starting to frustrate me. As a pet owner, how would you like it if you dog doesn't want you? My husband is starting to think that she's retarded (in his word, the previous owner didn't teach her to be sociable...). I have had a few dogs before her, and they never behave like her... and NO, I don't beat and yell at them. I do have a small fear that she'll bite me (maybe unconsciously, because she plays more rough and more aggressive over food than my other dog).

I have a 3 year old Jack russell terrier and she's 8 1/2 pounds.
All of my neighbors have big dogs that aren't friendly with other dogs, i see dog fights here all the time. there are loose dogs everywhere and owners that just don't care (neither does the ASPCA) well when i walk my dog im worried about her getting attacked. i had a rottie/lab mix about 3 months ago that got attacked by one of my neighbors dogs and he died, i was crushed. how do i keep these dogs from attack my JRT???

I went to the Humane Society last week and adopted a sweet little Jack Russel/Chihuahua? mix. She is very small, only 8 lbs. The problems are this.....She wants to go after my Cockatiel who has been queen bee of the house for the past 14 years! The dog is scaring the hell out of her. I try to keep them separate, but then if I have the dog say in the kitchen then she wimpers, barks and cries for me, and won't stop!
How do I get all the animals to accept eachother? How do I get the dog (she is 2 years old) to not spazz about me being out of her sight?
I feel Horrible!! Like maybe this was a BIG mistake!
Help!

I have a 14 week old labrador retriver b*tch. She is very friendly usually, and has a great temprament. However, one thing makes her go crazy; sitting down on/moving/even touching for to long, the chair in her 'room.' With everything else she is fine; i can put my hands in her food, take toys from her etc. but with this chair, she just goes mad. She first goes very still then she starts barking at me, then starts aggresively moving around the chair! I'm finding this very strange, and a bit scary, so if someone could tell me what im doing wrong it would be a great help! Thanks in advance : )
