bring a stool sample to the vet and find out what kind of worms they are. The vet will give you medication to kill the worms. Most wormers can be bought without a prescription from any pet supply catalog. So after you get home from the vet, order a bottle of the wormer so you will be ready if it happens again. Clean up the dog crap from your yard so he does not reinfect himself. If he goes to a dog park, he will be exposed to worms, there is no way around it. If you learn to recognize them, you can treat it without going to the vet.

Dog has a bad case of worms. Take it to the vet and have it treated with the proper medication. Sounds like roundworms or maybe whipworms.
In any case, it must be seen by a vet for the proper medication.

Any parasite can be treated for but the vet needs to know what kind your dog has. Usually you take in a fecal sample and they pick the medicine.
Scoop up the stuff with the worm in it and put it in a zip lock baggie and take it to the vet. They'll get you the right stuff.

You see, this is why it is IMPORTANT to give your dog an all wormer tablet (every 3 months), and heartworm tablet (monthly)... to prevent things like this from happening!
Just basic sense!
If you already do, opt for good quality... no cheapo stuff!
