I used a carpet cleaning solution. And I have poured Vinager where she pooped. Now it smells like pickled poop. I'm really not trying to be funny. I haven't tried baking soda yet. I'm waiting for the vinager to dry.

Nature's Miracle or a similar product from the pet store (follow the directions) is the easiest for this but vinegar and water works well too. Using carpet cleaner on it first might be a problem, but you already did. If you can still smell the vinegar but not the poop, wet it with water and towel dry it, or suck it up with a carpet shampooer or wet/dry vacuum. if you can still smell the poop, use diluted vinegar (more water than vinegar) again, mop it up. Do this several times if needed until you can't smell the poop. Then rinse with plain water to get the rest of the vinegar smell out.

Petco and Petsmart sell an organic and organic puppy scent and stain eliminator spoke of as Natures Miracle. i could purchase a number of that once which try it on a factor of the carpet which won't be able to be seen to make confident it does not harm the colour. If that is going properly, you should saturate the section the place the poop replace into, and that i advise soak it so the liquid soaks into the carpet pad as properly. then you certainly ought to enable it sit down and dry out, which will take an afternoon or 2. it won't mould or mildew, even nonetheless which you should to apply a small fan to help hasten the drying technique. If the scent persists, repeat this step.

Since you own your dog, buy some Resolve Carpet Cleaner [in a red spray bottle]. You need to keep it on hand at ALL times - you never know when Fido will mess again! (lol)

Anyway, I own 6 cats and one DOG and this roduct [Resolve} is the ONLY product that will completely remove both STAINS and the ODOR associated w. pet "oops".... : )

Try this:
1) Blot dry the vinegar on the carpet -- dry as much as you can [use paper towels & toss them out - of course!]
2) Spray the entire area w. Resolve [they have a "pet" odor formula, too, but reg. formula will work as well] :)
3) Let the Resolve sit for a minute or 2...
4) Blot area dry again w. paper towels
5) Cover damp area w. a towel overnight, until is is completely dry
6) IF you still detect a "scent" tomorrow, REPEAT! : )

Resolve has a great "clean" scent.. : )
Good luck!

You want to use an enzymatic cleaner like Nature's Miracle. Febreze and room sprays will only make it so you can't smell it anymore. Your dog will still smell his poop unless you break it down. If he can still smell it, he is likely to use the spot again.

I agree with Jess, Nature's Miracle is great. I used it for cat urine on carpet and I treated the area over a period of a week, letting area dry in between. It worked wonders. As we all know cat urine is the WORST!!!
