I have a 1yr.old female Maltipoo & is spayed & current on all shots. What are these spots & why are they spreading? Can it be treated or cured? Is this skin condition common in Maltipoo's?

I have a 1 year old female Shih Tzu that is terrified of the rain. She shakes and over heats and won't eat or drink during a rain storm.I'm in such a hard spot b/c I truly feel for her and I try my best to help her,but nothing seems to work.I hold her,I pet her,I try to get her mind off of the rain, but absolutely nothing works and she gets herself all worked up until the storm passes.I'm asking this now b/c it is raining very heavy where we live right now and she is almost making me cry b/c I feel so bad. Please,HELP!

She has to be watched with kids, because she isnt to happy when they are around. (these are older kids 8+ and no they are not mean to her) She also hates other dogs, even though she lived with their other dog for the first 9 months of her life until it passed away.... she never realy like her either.

What could this mean do you think?

I have wanted to ask this for a while but just never got around to it. My staffy *chevrolet* really likes soft objects to sleep on-- occasionally while he is sleeping especially if he is really warm or cuddling with one of us-- which makes it bad-he pees-- completely sleeps through it and everything. Its not really a big deal because I know he doesnt do it on purpose the vet said he checked out fine. Has anyone else experienced this? Do you know what causes it?

also the vet said he was fine?
its definately not a bladder infection that was the first thing we asked about- he has been doing this since he was a pup-- only every blue moon though like when he gets to nap with me on the bed under covers or one time he fell asleep on the recliner with his dad-- not a normal thing

i previously asked this question but unfortunately no real answers were given-- anyone??

Well, my dog had been coughing and wheezing a lot. So we took her to the vet and they said that it could be allergies. He gave her antibotics and said he would check in on us about a month later. Today when we got home, she was really wheezing bad and drinking alot of water. We have her some benidrel to see if that helps. It was almost like she was having a hard time breathing and I was really worried about her. Since tomorro was Sunday we cant take her to the ver but we are trying to get her in on Monday. Will she be ok through both of the nights? Shes beginning to calm down a little thankfully. Since we adopted her about a year ago, we dont know much about her health in the past, so this could be something she has had to deal with for a while. Well, please, let me know what I can do for her to make her feel better untill we get her into the vets. Also, whats the cause of drinking so much water? She isnt dehadrated. Could it we something with the allergies? I really need some help.

If a stray pit bull dog that looks like he is straving to death starts hanging around your houss, and. you start feeding it to keep it from straving. Then it bites someone on your property, are you liable for damages since the dog is a stray and you don't own it?

Which do you get on a regular basis and when (once a year, once every three years, etc?)

Do you ever get some on occassion (such as bordatella) only when the dog will be kenneled/around other dogs?

Which ones do you find unnecessary?

Do you use flea control products year round? At all?

I recently had a discussion with my vet about her views on these topics. I liked what she had to say, but I also want to compare what other people's vets have told them. Thanks!

I love my dog so much my heart aches and I can't help but smile, no matter how bad of a day I've had when I look at her. I'm sure you all feel the same way, right?

Is it normal for an 11 week beagle puppy to bite non-stop?
She doesn't just nip, she bites, and she has very sharp teeth.

Would this be considered a behavioral problem? Or is it normal?
What can we do to prevent it?

She has plenty of things to chew on. She has atleast ten toys, and she can down a huge bone in a matter of two days.

This has become a major problem. She bites everyone, and we have a five-year-old in the house that doesn't understand that the dog will hurt her.

HELP US! Please!

a test first? Well my question is this, keeping withthat mentality shouldnt people have to take some kind of test before having children? Babies dont come with directions either and you do hear a lot of news stories of children being abused, physically and sexually. Maybe you should have to apply for a permit then take a parenting class and thenpass a test then have a kid?

I recently had taken my dog to a vet because i noticed a change in her attitude lately. Her face has also drooped down on the right side and swollen slightly. Her right eye no longer closes even when she sleeps.

The Vet told me that it could be a couple possible things. She said that it could be a brain tumor, seizures, or from head trauma. She has never been abused in my household but i had taken her to a kennel for a night not too long ago.

Her attitude seems fine now and shes the same old dog but im worried and i dont know what to do. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas for what else to do or experiences with something like this.

Thank you for your help.

hi. i have a very friendly, easygoing and loving dog. He is 2 year old Saint Bernard male. When he was a pup in 2005 i brought him to the apartment and nobody had any problems. But few days back the apartment management notified me that i must get rid of my dog or else i will be evicted. My saint bernard is very well behaved and has never caused any problems. The only problem is his weight. THe apartment manager says no dog larger than 60 lbs is allowed. My saint bernard weighs 198 lbs. So what if he weighs 198 lbs? humans weigh even more and don't have such restrictions when living in apartments, then why dog has such kind of unfair restriction? i feel this is discrimination against my sweet saint bernard. I will not get rid of him, but i also want to stay in the apartment. What to do in such situation?

Ok, he hasn't gotten sick thus far but my dog has been eating insects.. in particular moths and sometimes cockroaches. Seeing as it's moth season at the moment there are heaps and heaps, as he's only a puppy he gets excited by anything that moves so if he sees a moth on the ground or even a cockroach he'll chase it for his own entertainment and eventually end up eating it. I'm worried that he will end up eating a much more harmful insect... But as for cockroaches and moths, does anyone think that this will effect him?

I'm looking for a "low cost" vet. hospital, specializing in eye surgery for dogs, ....A vet thats not in it to make a huge profit like most vets are. There is a "low cost" clinic in fall river mass called Faxon animal hospital, it is a non profit organization, and they are wonderful, but they dont do extensive surgery, it is more of a wellness clinic, ....spay, neuter, etc.....I am looking to have a caterac removed from my dogs eye, but dont wish to spend 1000.00, as i cant afford it, if i had it, i'd do without hesitation. Can anyone recommend a clinic or vet in the southeastern part of massachusetts, or even Providence RI area.
