I have a 1yr.old female Maltipoo & is spayed & current on all shots. What are these spots & why are they spreading? Can it be treated or cured? Is this skin condition common in Maltipoo's?

Are you sure it's not just pigmentation?

If it looks as if it's "spreading" I would recommend you take her in to the vet to be sure she's okay.

Is it just the color of the skin? Or is it a raised spot, like a wound or rash, anything other than just the color of the skin? If so, then you may want to take the dog to the vet. If you aren't sure if its the skin color, stop by a grooming salon and ask them.

It is common for those dogs to have areas of pigmentation on their skin. Most easily seen when the dog is getting a bath.

Well, i'm going to assume your white. And i'm also going to assume you grew up in an area primarily of white people. Black women aren't the norm for you, because you didn't grow up with them, so you don't find them attractive. It probably would be different if you spent your childhood in a primarily black community.

I've never heard of such a thing. When I first saw your question I thought they were just dark patches of skin that some dogs have naturally, but this sounds more serious. You need to call your vet on Monday and talk to him/her about this.
