Every time we go to the park with our rottweiler, he tries to attack smaller dogs. He would rip them to shreds if we didn't yank him back and swat him for it.
Once, when I was like 8, I went to my friend's house, and she was like "Look at what my dog did!" and walked me over to a bush in her backyard. I looked under the bush and there was a rabbit with it's insides oozing out. It messed with my head... I was mortified!

Of course, when I was a kid, me and my bothers would always shoot down squirrels with a pellet gun and feed them to the dogs, birds too. The myth that eating other animals makes dogs aggressive is false. My dogs were always just as friendly as they were before and after they ate anything that we hunted.
My dog Sage recently saw and killed a Groundhog that was in the yard. After she injured it, she came running to me and went running back to it as if she was showing me it. I haven't seen a Groundhog around here since the 80's. I was surprised when I followed her and she showed it to me. It was still slightly alive and moving around like it was partially paralyzed. I think that she bit it's neck and gave it a spinal injury. Sage ran fast to it again and bit it some more, then it stopped moving. I picked it up by the tail and brought it to her doghouse. She ate it so happily.
My dogs eat raw meat from the grocery store all the time, so eating other animals isn't new to them. The only difference is that the wild ones still have fur attached, along with other parts.
Just because your dog ate a rabbit, cat and etc, doesn't mean that he'll attempt to attack and eat people, or other dogs, so don't worry about that. :)

I have never personally had a pet that ate other animals. But a lot of people I know do. My grandma's cat used to catch mice and birds all the time, then bring them in the house with her and present them to my grandma like it was a present.
My other grandma's sheltie catches and eats rabbits and other small mammals all the time. I'm glad my pets don't eat other animals, I would have a hard time with that.

We recently adopted our 3rd Pom Valentino. He has such a sweet nature about him, loves to be loved on, very mild characteristic's but soon after we brought him home ~ I learned that he loved birds; love to kill them that is.
I have bird feeder/houses in my back yard and within 1 week after bringing him home ~ he killed 4 of my baby birds. He doesn't eat them, he just carries them around the yard til I can get them away from him...
Next year, the bird feeder/houses are going in the front yard where my mild manner little friend does not have access to...

My 12 pound Yorkie caught and tried to eat a chipmunk! I let him outside to go potty and I heard some squeaking. I thought that he has taken out one of his toys which is a no-no. I went to take the toy away and saw the little chipmunk! I was devastated! I yelled for my husband to help me get the chipmunk away from him and by the time we got to them, it was too late. My Yorkie had squeaked the chipmunk to death. Poor little chipmunk!

I have 3 abused rescues and they catch rabbits and squirrels every so often. They like doing what comes naturally. They chase birds but can't catch them.

My alsatian attacks and kills cats and pigeons and when he has his peak, our basset hound finishes off and then the two yorkies lick the bones. Not joking, I've noticed thats the way it goes

Yes. One of mine ate a decomposing baby bird. I made her vomit it up.
TO POMERANIAN MOM BELOW ME:
How ironic! I had a Pom named Valentine (he was found on Valentine's Day. My Valentine was all black)
