Go and read the breed standards for both the pug and beagle and study the pictures and then you will be able to tell the difference.

Like the above poster said, a pug is a purebred dog, a puggle is a mutt. A puggle will usually have a longer snout, less bulging eyes, and the ears of a beagle.

A pug is a a pure breed,registered dog.A puggle is hald beagle,half pug.Normally puggles are less wrinkles,tan,and the mix is a lot more likely to chase small animals and be more hyper as compared to pugs.

Well, it's really easy. See a pug is a pretty unique purebred dog, so you'll know right away if it's mixed by looking at it. A puggle is a mix between a beagle and a pug.

A pug has a flatter face, more wrinkles, smaller ears, and buggier eyes. They also have more of a bulldog type frame with thicker necks.
A puggle is easily recognizable with the longer snout, longer beagle type ears, and a less stocky frame.
