i got my puppy on thursday night he is 8 weeks old today i phoned the vet to arrange some appointments for check ups and his jags etc
i have always believed jags are done around 8 and 12 weeks but the girl on the phone who told me to bare with her as she was new told me jags wont be done untill he is a few months and not to let him down outside this part i no but jags at a few months? she wasnt sure how many months just a few i couldnt talk to the vet or anyone els as they were busy what age did your puppy have jags at? she asked if he had been wormed..
i wormed him today at 12 noon he was sick at 4pm i did not repeat the dose i was waiting to see what vet said but she said go on it wont do any harm he hasnt ate or drank much today after being sick
what are your thoughts regarding jags and worming tablets ?

my dog trainer cannot work w/ my dog around other dogs because he is too Aggresive/Protective/and Wild. she says if i neuter him he will become A lot less aggressive and will calm down alot more. Please tell me IF THIS TRUE ABOUT NEUTERING?? so i can go back to the dog trainer and train my rottie and maybe one day bring him to a dog park without leaving sad or stressed because he can't get along with other dogs...

I never knew that greenies were horrible for my puppy and I only fed it one!!! But today, my baby boy has been throwing up and having diarhea!! Is it because of the greenies or is it because my dad bought steak home last night for my puppy?

He's actually doing okay right now, he's very active and drinking water/eating. But he does have diarhea!

I am the owner and have put on AKC titles on the dog. She has my dog on a puppy mill site to sell her puppies. She co-bred the litter that my dog came from. She did not have the litter herself. But she is still listed as one of the breeders. Is there any law to stop her from doing this.

She doesn't seem distressed and let me clean it off a little bit, but the the matting is so thick that it's solid. It's about an inch in diameter across and doesn't seem to be painful to the touch, although she doesn't particularly like me cleaning it. Do I need to take her to an emergency vet?

I've been using a halti on my GSD pup who is just abouts 5 months old now, and she hates it. Infact, She gets worse with it every single day! now it's to the point where she won't even walk with it on, if I take a step she'll jump up and bite either me or the leash in protest. Besides that, when she used to walk on it, she'd pull no matter what, with the halti leaving marks on her face-fur and shutting one of her poor little eyes as she walked!

SOOOoo despite me being so strongly anti-prong collar for years and years, I am thinking it may be a more effective and actually more humane method of controlling her.

What do you think, world? I don't want to be cruel, but I'm not even sure what that is now! halti versus prong, let's hear it.

Ive called a few airlines and the dogs weight cant exceed 20 lbs if we wanted to have it fly on the plane but we have a lab that is pretty big. Theres no possible way we can drive, is there any other way to transport a big dog from one state to another??

Someone advise me to feed her pineaple, and then its not working anymore, i tried buying abkets from petco a deterent but i think none of these is working, i cant monitor her at day due to my work sched., she stay at our backyrd at day and inside at night.I dont know what to do now, im fed up what else to do, this beagle love to eat anything as in anything,, pls advise..

i live in the middle of 2 house each of my neighbors has 2 dogs they both dont bathe there dogs so they have fleas so no matter how much i bathe my dog he always gets fleas in the end is there a pill or something that i can give him so he wont get fleas

I have a nine month old Morkie who is/was trained to go on Weepads. In about the last month she has started to pee and poop right next to (NOT ON) the mats. I had the mats on a wood floor, and now want to move it. I put the pad in the new spot and she still GOES NEXT TO IT. She doesn't do well with a littler box.

I am gone typically from 5:15 am - 3:00 pm, so I come home to pee and poop and am getting really really sick of this disgusting mess.

I would like to let her roam free while I am gone but I can't trust her right now! HELP!

my female dog is puking up a watery boogery substance and wont stop. and it keeps coming out of her mouth even when she doesnt puke. She's had parvo when she was 8 weeks old andand is now about 61/2 months. she also keeps scooting on her butt and releases brown stains onto the carpet..Whats wrong with her!!!! I NEED HELP FAST. My friend just rescued a dog from a shelter. The dog is very sweet and unfortunately has Kennel cough. She has been on 2 kinds of medicine since Tuesday. I believe one is an antibiotic. Is it safe to introduce her to my dog? Is she still contagious? My dog gets yearly vaccines, I'm just not sure if his boardatella is up to date because I don't board him.

Hey! My 8 week old golden has diarrhea, I've heard it's normal but he's pooping a lot. The poop is well...soft. I'm a little worried so I was just wondering if you guys have any advice for me. Should I take him to the wet? How long will this last? Is it his food? : ( Please help!

ok I will start off with first don't tell me i should not have bred my dogs .We have a waiting list we screen our parents we have a contract I do all i need to do for my babies
next dont tell me to goto a vet we have been to the vet 3 times in 2 days just went today at 8 am
now to my question 4 week old puppies have giardia my vet said it may be from another animal dropping in my yard we have them on the meds to kill the worms meds for poop and now meds for puking one of the puppies is just not doing well the others came around right away after the first time on meds this puppy sick I called my vet again they are closed untill monday now
I am trying to do power aid every 2 hours and puppy formula it just pukes it up anyone know anything else i can try?
I am thinking about doing an injection under the skin with saline
has anyone done this ? I did tube feedher she just tossed it back up I need to get some fluids in her or she is going to die please anyone that can help

i got a 9 week old sheltie and he whines when he is in the kennel but i got him to stop for a little while and he peed in it once allready. but when i take him out to the wee wee pad every 3-4 hours he dosnt pee or poop so i give him to eat for about 30sec and take him to the wee wee pad and he still dosnt do it it like he wants to play he keaps on jumping and he grabs my sock and pulls on it and he made a mess with peeing and pooping yesterday but i took care of it with the stink remuval nature thing. whaht should i do? right now hes sleepin in the kennel.

She's a pit and we ran out of Dog Chow for her. I have some leftover meat in the freezer. Is it okay to give to to her raw, or should I cook it?
