GARLIC...put a clove chopped in his dinner or put 1-2 garrlic tabs in his dinner every day, u can also rub a clove over him on a daily basis as fleas hate the smell, it is a safe herbal method that is safe to use on a dily basis..i use on my 3 and have yet to see the lil buggers..people on here will no doubt suggest vet stuff..id steer clear and think its a waste, why pay 17-18 quid for stuff from the vets when clove of garlic does the same for 68p xx

There are pills and the once a month dot treatment that you can put on your dog to keep your pet flea free. Bathing is some use but not a lot. Also the fleas live in the ground and they will bite any person or animal to get blood to live on. See your vet for information on control of fleas and have the dog checked for worms. Fleas transfer worms and other germs to your pets. Erradicate them from the environment with pest control. Wash the bedding your pet uses often.
Good luck.
Cheers

You need to keep your dog on Frontline or Advantage. This will keep fleas at bay.
If you've already got an infestation which it sounds like you do, you need to treat your home and yard as well. Ask your vet to recommend house foggers and a yard spray, something with an Insect Growth Regulator (IGR) in it.
A product without an IGR will only kill adult fleas leaving the eggs to hatch and start the problem all over again. A product with an IGR will both adults and eggs.
After you've treated the house and yard keep the dog on the Frontline or Advantage as flea preventative.

I am sure I have heard of an injection that your vet can give that the fleas take ib through your dogs blood and it either kills them or makes them infertile so there eggs wont hatch.takes a bit of time, dont know how long, but is supposed to be worth it.When you are defleaing the dog are you doing your whole house cos the little buggers will just jump right back on.

Yeast and Garlic pills can be bought to give to your pet. Thats the natural way to keep fleas off. Other than that go to your vet with this problem for any meds for flea problems.

Sure. Either Frontline or Advantage. You apply it to the back of his neck once a month. Make certain you get it on the skin, not just the fur. You can get it at any vet. The fleas will start dying within hours.

Bathing won't keep the fleas off - you need to put Frontline or Advange on your dog - back of the neck, directly on the skin - every single month to keep fleas off.
