I never knew that greenies were horrible for my puppy and I only fed it one!!! But today, my baby boy has been throwing up and having diarhea!! Is it because of the greenies or is it because my dad bought steak home last night for my puppy?

He's actually doing okay right now, he's very active and drinking water/eating. But he does have diarhea!

Thanks, Yup Steak is the culprit! =(. hes doing much better than ever right now.

Still, GREENIES $UCK!!!! Plzz don't tell me their good because many dogs have died from them and don't need to trick me into harming my dog people!!! bc i've seen this around news and articles! Greenies are edible for like 75 % of the time. However, its hard to digest and not only that, the small amounts of greenes in the digestive tract can be blocked.

It could be either of them..the throwing up? Does it appear to be pieces of the "greenie"? or is it just liquid? ...if he is eating and drinking(drinking being vital...when any creature has diarrhea/vomitting it causes loss of fluids so it is important to keep fluid in take on the high side) then all should be fine...Steak is not something the dog/pup is use to, most any "new" item of food will cause a bit of a problem...as for the greenie..."greenies" are meant to be CHEWED on...not simply swallowed...with anything you give a pup you need to watch closely to make sure he just doesn't swallow the whole thing...but chews it up, into small pieces, so that it can pass through...keep an eye on him and if the stools do not begin to harden up within 24 hours and the vomitting does not subside... I would call your vet.

Greenies won't make your dog sick. The only danger with greenies is that sometimes dogs can choke on large pieces of them or pieces can accumulate in their intestines after eating several of them. I stopped giving them to my dog, but I heard that they have a new formula now that actually breaks down much easier and isn't as dangerous.

Since he isn't used to getting good food like steak his system went Woah, how do I process this, I'm used to eating kibble crap.

Your dog is designed to eat meat. So don't think it was a bad thing, his system has just become lax in its handling of things because of kibble.

As far as greenes, yes they are bad, don't feed anymore. Instead give your dog bully sticks, these are healthy and safe.

If the diarrhea doesn't clear up in a day or two, then a vet visit may be in order.

It's the steak. Greenies are not "horrible" for dogs, they just sometimes break into pieces that are dangerous. They do not cause diarrhea. That is not the problem.

The diarrhea probably came from him eating the steak. People food is not good for dogs and a change of diet can cause diarrhea but if he doesn't get better I would take him to the vet. Hope all goes well.

Dogs can get sick every time you give them people food or change their diet. It is safest to give you puppy dty puppy chow with no people food and few treats.

However, it is not an emergency if a puppy or dog has diarrhea and vomiting once or twice... their system is built for that.

He will continue to have diarrhea as long as you give him meat or milk. The diarrhea will stop 24 hours after you give him only puppy chow

If you want your dad to stop feeding the pup meat, then you can make him pay for a trip to the Vet, so that the Vet can tell him that it is causing the diarrhea.

There have been clinical studies - not funded by dog food companies - that prove that a dog can live two years longer, if you don't feed it any people food.

Your question make it sound like your in pain/you're dying. Your details should be your question and has atrocious spelling. So I refuse to answer this questions and will take the 2 points anyway. }=(

It's the steak. Overfeeding greedy puppies who eat too fast isn't the best of ideas!

If you want to help his tum you can give him pectillin.

Feed him half of his usual feeding to rest his stomach.

You can mix cooked rice in his food, that would help too.
