Just like the title says, I need to find a vet in Toronto that does ear cropping, preferably in the North York area.

He bit me while I was trying to teach him not to growl or snap at people when they get close to his food. (Other than that he's a GREAT dog) That's a completely separate issue though. What I need to know is if I should go to the hospital for a rabies shot. He is only 3 months old, just got his second set of shots and won't get his third (including rabies vax) for 3 more weeks. What do you guys think? Also, we live in Japan... not sure how common rabies is compared to the US.

he has a bad habbit of eating stuff out in the courtyard, but we try to watch him closely to make sure that he doesn't, including clearing out his mouth before bringing him back into the house. he is vomiting mucousy, frothy, at first, there was a little dog food and part of a rawhide bone, but he hasn't eaten or drank anything to speak of since last night. i have been giving him a little pedialyte every once in a while so that he doesn't get dehydrated.... Help, he is my baby... i don't know what else to do.....

We have been discussing this at the clinic. The most common reason owner's dogs are euthanized in the clinic is hip dysplasia/orthopedic problems related to aging. A lot of people choose to euthanize when the dogs can't get around to go potty or to go in and out well. What do you see in your areas?

I put him in his crate when we go to bed and straight away he starts barking, his crate is in the kitchen and we have an open plan house so when he is barking we can hear him in the bedroom, it is stopping us from sleeping and it is reallly affecting us!. We have tried loads of toys and giving him treats when he gets in his crate but nothing seems to be working. I am at the end of my tether with him but I love him to pieces and I am afraid I wont be able to stand this much longer!!. Please can someone help me?

But i don't get a good % from some doctors saying it would help and i don't really want a ball less dog because i usually like the way he is and then he might get to calm. Are there other ways and when does this go away( his obsession for his little *****.)

so lately we'll throw a treat and he has a hard time finding it. at first we just thought he was too exicted and was hyper ( he's a boston terrier ) then he started running into things like walls, cars, couches ect... today I noticed his eyes are getting white spots in them and are cloudy. I'm very upset and don't know what to do. he is only four years old. how long till he can't see anymore? and is there anything to prolong the blindness??

I know you can't spank or induce pain, so what can I do to let him know he's wrong?

I think animals are amazing with the many skills and instincts they possess. There are many wonderful stories about animals saving so many people from tragedy. Even at the expense of their life.
So I was wondering if anyone had an animal hero story.

Take my dog, a Golden Labrador named Febe, for instance. Last summer, when we were BBQ-ing in the front yard, my daughter was quietly playing in her sand box. I took my attention off of her to ask my husband how the burgers were doing. Then all the sudden I saw Febe, in my peripheral, bolt from across the road and knock Savannah down. For some reason, she had gone into the road. Before I could get out a scream, I saw a Cadillac blaze down the street. I instantly knew this was the reason for her actions. I was crying and so bewildered, I did't know who to hug first. Savannah was a little shook up, but alive.
Febe is such a great dog, and she will always have a very special place in my heart.
Here is my hero dog

I realize this question may seem a little absurd, but I'm actually serious. My best friend is visiting from out of town and she always tells me that between her dog's paw pads it smells like corn chips. We figure her dog can't be the only one, right?

Also, if you do know of a dog in a similar situation, anyone know why the corn chip smell?

Thanks!

There are 3 dogs in the house. My roomates' dogs have no problems with proper potty behavior.

My two year old G Shepherd is a great dog but not the smartest. While I am at work or away from the house I keep him in my room via a child gate (crates are terrible to me so not an option even as punishment) and he has never peed in my room. While I am at home he goes in and out about twice an hour and does his business outside but for no apparent reason he will pee on corners (always the same two) in the house. I don't rub the nose but just use the "You're a bad dog" routine. He sulks and knows he has done wrong but will not stop this behavior. Any clues?

Gracy, my Shih Tzu, is home from the Vet's. She was spayed, and has been sleeping most of the day. But, she has woken up, went to the bathroom, eat a few bites of food and drank a tiny bit of water. We have gotten her to calm down if I hold her, which I don't mind one bit, but she has started to yelp a tiny bit more. We gave her her medication around two hours ago, as instructed by the vet. The vet's office closed quite a bit ago, otherwise, I would call them. Is there any way that we can take some of the pain she's feeling away?

I have an outside dog, a Belgian Shepherd mix. He loves being outside and hates being indoors-- even if we're inside. We have a doggy door for him. He'd rather be outside with the mini goat (I know, they're odd friends). He has trees covering an acre yard so there's few spots without shade, a six-foot fence with all the gates locked, a short, clean stock tank that has an automatic filler, and a dog house.

So why is it so bad to leave him outside all day? Why do people insult others that leave dogs outside while they're not home? Do people not understand that for the most part, dogs like having space to run instead of being cooped up inside?

We adopted this puppy from a shelter several months ago and we are always trying to guess what she is. Our best guess is a lab/ doberman mix. She is about a year old now and 70 lbs. Does anyone have a guess as to what she is??? Thanks!
