Technically, there is no such thing as a "teacup" anything. All small dogs are in the Toy group, and depending on their breed they can ranger anywhere from 3lbs-8lbs. Breeders use the word "teacup" to get more money for their dogs.
The small breed dogs can be hypoglycemic, or have low blood sugar, so you much be careful. Make sure they get 4-5 small meals through out the day. Not a good idea to have a small dog like that unless someone is with them all day.
They can also be fragile while growing so you must be careful when you are walking around while they are loose on the floor. Becareful that you do not drop them. A friend of mine had a Yorkie that fell off a standard sized chair and broke his back. He could not walk anymore so they put him down.
It is best to go to your local libray and get books on Yorkies and other Toy breed dogs as they share alot of the same problems and characteristics. Also, go to yahoogroups and join the Yorkie and Toy Breed groups where you will find alot of information, advice from other people who own those wonderfuk little dogs.

In reality, there is no such thing as a teacup Yorkie. It's a marketing ploy some breeders use to sell puppies bred to be smaller than average which they then sell at inflated prices. No reputable breeder is going to breed "teacup" Yorkies. Breeding Yorkies (or any toy breed for that matter) to be "teacup" sized is not healthy for the dog. These puppies can suffer from a host of serious health problems including hypoglycemia (which can lead to shock and death), dental problems, fragile bones, internal organ failure and more. Your puppy may seem healthy but some genetic problems might not show up for several years. I'm sure there are people who have "teacup" Yorkies that have led long and healthy lives, but why take a gamble while encouraging unscrupulous breeding. Yorkie puppies should never be sold at less than 12 weeks of age and at not less than 2 lbs. An adult Yorkie should weigh a minimun of 4 lbs. In fact, the American Kennel Club won't even allow Yorkies to be shown unless they are between 4-7 lbs. Please research fully before you buy and may you and your new best friend have a long and healthy life together!

So you just got back from the irresponsible breeder? There is no such thing as a teacup anything! The dogs are undersized because bad breeders breed unhealthy runt dogs to make smaller litters so they can scam you and steal your money. The puppies are probably not as old as the breeder says they are-that is one trick used to hoodwink people into thinking they are getting a "teacup" something. Use the brains you were born with and RUN! If you want a yorkie, there are hundreds of them listed on petfinder.com. If you aren't interested in rescue, go on the AKC website and start looking for real breeders to spend your money with.
You would think after all the talk on this site about bad breeding, people would get a clue!

Im sorry but theres no such thing as a "teacup " yorkie . It is just another word BYB's use to get people to spend alot of money . You could've saved alot of money by going to look on petfinder.com or going to the local pound . Im sorry but i'd never in gods name pay for a so called" teacup " yorkie for $700 .

EDIT

Oh, if you plan to register this breed dont . They're not AKC standard . Only a regular size Yorkieshire terrier is .

sorry but there is no such thing as a teacup yorkie. if you check into the standard at akc.org you will see they are only registrable as a yorkie they don'e come in sizes like the poodle. and even with that a podel only comes in toy, miniture, and standard no teacup of any breed.
YOu will often find these runts that are so small often have many health problems and often don't live past 7 years of age.
You really need to watcha breeder advertising pups as teacups they do this for the money and all. if you should decide on this pup make sure that the breeder takes the pup to her vet for a check, you get all shots and wormings should start at 2,4,6,8 weeks and shots start at 6-8 weeks, Make extra sure that the pup is eating solid food not mush, and you get a written guaranttee on health.
Tehn as soon as you get the pup withing 7 days you take to your vet as a lot of deseases don't show up for 7-10 days such as parvo.

HI
Wow that is a great price if she is AKC registered
I currently have 2 Yorkies and they are both on the very small size I have been a owner/breeder for approx 15 years now and I just Thursday picked up a new little male and his parents are 3 and 4 pounds and they are so very adorable
You do have to be careful as they are quite delicate due to there size and I do not recommend raising them and small children together Not a good mix but if you do Purchase her you are in for many years of love and Devotion
One thing I will stress before you purchase her.... Research the Breed and see if you are a good match Do not just go purchase her due to the fact she is cute and you can afford her
Yorkies are very demanding and Loyal to their human and they prefer their human to be home with them all day long as they have certain issues that they need to be dealt with from the get go and Caging a new pup is WRONG if you cannot allow you new baby to roam free in your home as you do then you really do not have the adequate time or lifestyle for the new baby I always ask a person when they ask me if I cage my pups No I do Not put yourself in there Paws how would you feel being locked in a jail cell for so many hours per day?? Think About that
So before you make the Purchase Research
Good Luck

I do not have TEAcup yorkie, but have raised yorkies, they are very fragille, and expensive, if you have a lot of money to invest, it may be worth it, but the chances of them liveing a long live would be very useless. good luck, they are an odorable animal. and very sprecial. kay(bearsmuchfruit@sbcglobal .net

I have a teacup yorkie, and love it a lot. Shes like my own child with a lot of personality. I find it easier to have smaller dogs and this dog was perfect for me. Luckily mine doesnt bark at all, all the more reason to love her. SO my point, im VERY happy with her. Just you have to watch where you step, ive accidently kicked her while walking a few times :( but shes alright she gets up and keeps running
