My neighbor's dog has been barking non-stop since early this morning! This is not the first time the dog has done this. I think he/ she may possibly do this while they are gone. We live in an apartment building that is very acceptable to pets(which is great!). I know that this apartment has 2 cats. We were told that the lady below us has 2 cats, a middle school aged daughter, and wanted to know more about us from the landlord before we moved in. We were also told that we were in a very quiet section. No problem. Last summer they got a dog. It barks non-stop for hours until they get home. This is not the first time. Should I write them a note?

I have a extremely stubborn lab puppy. I say stubborn because she will no do anything she dont want to do, i cant even get her to go for a walk on the leash with me. anyway. Ive had her for only few days and she wont eat any food. ive given her canned food and she pukes from it, and she wont even touch the hard food. I know the previous owners gave her hard food and she ate it just fine. should i just wait until she get so hungry she eats it, or should i mix her food. any suggestions would be helpfull!

Just curious. Where did you purchase your puppy from? Breeder, pet shop, broker, etc. ?

We purchased our Bichon from a champion breeder in Long Island, NY..It was worth the price and trip..Getting a dog from a reputable breeder is worth it. Evie has a great temperment, beautiful coat, smart, etc. !

Thanks !

I have two cats and a little dog whom I love with all my heart. I have to go back to work full time unexpectedly and am so worried about what to do with my dog as I know that dogs should not be left home alone for long periods of time. Should I get another dog?

Hi Guys. I have a 33 lb. 5 month old pitbull pup. I feed him canidae dogfood (lamb) 3x a day, 1 cup per feeding.

I was wondering, cause i give him milk everyother day. sometimes i mix in 1 raw egg+milk+kibble.

question i have is? is this bad for pitbulls? or is it beneficial?
my pup is on puppy vitamins too, :) just in case thats a factor.

oh and btw, my pup is not lactose intolerant.. he handles milk very well. thanks. :D your answers will be greatly appreciated. :)

This is now to the point where she chases them and goes to bite the other dogs. An Irish wolf hoiund retaliated and pinned her down but luckily she was not hurt.

She hasn't been in any bad situation with another dog and think she may be acting out of fear as she egts frightened very easily.

I think I will have to take her to obedience classes when I find one but in the meantime would appreciate any advice or tips.

She also barks agressively at people when walking but has never gone to bite anyone, she just barks.

I also have a 6yr old yorkie who is great, I never had any problems like this with him.

There is a black lab tide to a tree in a backyard in our neighborhood. I hate seeing people tie their animals up and do other abuse. I always like to look at things from the dogs point of veiw, then mine. What should I say to the owners. I try and visit the dog without being seen. What should I do?

I have a dachshund and I noticed this morning his face is swollen. It is really swollen around his nose and by the sides of his mouth. I'm not sure if he's having a reaction to the pet food he's been eating. It's Ol'Roy and I noticed it was on the recall list. He doesn't really have the symptoms of what is described for the bad food so I think it's something else. I just do not know what it could be or what to do? Can someone please help me?

We live in Bangkok, Thailand and it's very hot humid. My dogs are feed a mixture of Pedigree and cooked carrots twice a day and they eat alot of different fruits and vegetable. I have consulted several vets here and they all tell me the same thing, "they is nothing I can do but give them a vitamin each day" , which does not help.
What can I do?

Dogs are breed sensitive? I mean, can they recognize another's dog breed? If so, just by smelling??

I am caring for my dad's old dog, and the dog does not have any bowel control. When he has 'to go' it literally just falls out. He doesn't act like he's in any pain, and he has a great personality, and is loving. But I'm torn over what to do. I don't think it's any way to live, but if the rest of his health is great, I don't think we should put him down. When he tries to stand up, often he will lose his bowels. His hips are bad, but they don't seem to hurt him. He's slow, but he still tries to play with the other dogs. He has a great appetite, and is vocal when he wants in, but he's deaf so it's difficult to get him to follow instructions. We've had him since March, so my parents could travel with retirement. But I just am so torn over what is best for the dog. What would you do, if anything?

Will it stay there & get smaller when it grows up more? Or does it need to be surgical remove? One of my friend told the other friend that it will go away by 2 years old. But, the other friend said it is still there & it is not getting smaller. She does not know what to do. 2 vets said it is genetic. One vet said he doesn't know. The person is very confused.

The breeder said it can be bredable cuz, she told the other friend, it would disappear when it reaches 2 years old. The mother dog, & the father dog has no any kind of Hernia throughout the generations. So, why does one puppy/dog has a hernia?

I have a 6 month old puppy, who is awesome. He is quite shy and doesn't ezactly take to dogs very well. He needs to get to know them and then he will eventually like them. Anyways, my family are thinking of getting another dog because we think it will make him a bit less shy. On a walk we met an old man who tols us that he had a very shy dog too and getting a sister was a big help. Does anyone know how my puppy will react? and Is this a suitable idea? If anyone has help or any experiences with introducing 2 puppies it would be appreciated.

P.S. My dog is a Cavoodle if that helps (I ask you not to get angry at me for buying a cross breed please) and he is good- natured.

Cheers!
