He is currently 27.6 pounds which is healthy however you can see 5 of his vertebrates and his hip bones. From what I have been told you are only suppose to see 3 of the vertebrates.

He has a healthy diet and has just been to the vet he is healthy just skinny. The vet wasn't much help on suggestions.

Any ideas? Thanks much have a terrific day!!!!

I have a litter of pups and in about 6 weeks they will be ready to go . They are a severely mixed breed of mutts, but cute as a button just the same. Yes, that this was an entirely accidental breeding because I have paperwork from the humane society in another state stating my dog had been spayed. Okay onto my question. I have no worries about finding homes for the 11 out of 12 pups I will be getting rid of, BUT I have worries on whether the homes will be good ones. I have been told by serval people the best way to ensure finding a good home is to sell the pups. I might be the only one having trouble with this, I just can’t really see charging for mixed breed pups.
They have cost me quite a bit of time and money in taking care of them and I have come to terms with selling them as being the best option. Now the question is how much do I charge?
I have been having to hand feed the pups and the food along with bottles so far has cost me just under $70 and is expected to be another $50 soon. I will be giving them their first shots before they go an with doing it myself it will cost roughly $10 per pup. So with that an the food I will be buying once they can eat regular food I can say each pup will end up costing me about $25 to $30 in the end. Is charging someone $30 for a pup enough to ensure they are going to a good home and that they can afford to buy them food, make sure they have them fixed an keep current on their shots? I was thinking that if I should charge over that amount that I could donate anything above and beyond the out of pocket expense to the local animal shelter or even put it into a gift certificate to a local vet and give it back to the new owner as going towards having the pup spayed or neutered. What would you say would be appropriate? How much?Any things I should look out for as I am having people some to look at these pups?

Please do not respond if you are telling me that I must feed her dog food! Thank you.

I recently found out that cartain products from the brand I feed my dog (nutro) have been recalled among MANY other brands. To avoid the risk, I would like to stop feeding her dog food completely. Any advice on how to do this, and what to feed her so that she gets all her nutrients?

I haven't changed his food, I'm not feeding him more than normal he's not eating too fast, and he throws up instantly until it's stomach acid.

It's relaly quick also, one or two licks and he's out the door for 30 min. It started like 2 days ago. It seems like a human version of the stomach flu?

Anyone?

I am 13 weeks pregnant and starting tp "plan". I have normal concerns about our dog and bringing a baby in our family. Now of course my baby will come first, but anyone who owns a pet knows they are just as much a part of the family. Our dog is a rescue dog and we've had him for almost 2 years now, even though it seems like we have always had him. He is a hound.lab mix and weighs 58lbs. Big boy and really sweet to us! He loves our neighbor and people that he sees VERY often. He doesnt like other dogs and ONE freak time tryed to attack my step-sister for NO reason. :( He was going through his developmental stage and she kinda barged into the house, so I dont know what 2 think... It hasnt happened since. He has sat and let little kids pet him but sometimes he gets startled and jumps back. Being scared can lead to aggression, which is natural, but I cant have it happening. I trust him fully that nothing will happen. But mistakes can happen. What can I do to prevent bad behavior with baby?

Well, my poodle chihuahua just turned one. When he was about 2 or 3 months old, he started doing this: I took him to the vet and they told me it was allergies. I have been giving him the children's benydryl since then because she recommended it. When he gets excited or quickly scared, its like his throat locks up and he can't breath, he struggles to breath like when you cry hard and can't catch your breath and makes a crazy noise from his nose. He tries not to move, he lays flat on the floor or runs to me, and gets stiff. I think my vet is full of crap and I don't know how to explain the symptoms well, but does anyone know what it might be?
