I'm in the south, and where there's a hunting dog usually is a redneck hunter. Sorry, that's the redneck-lover coming out in me... lol
I'd try something like - Rebel, Dixie, Storm, Thunder, Dallas, Copper, Chief, or any other redneck-sounding name...
;o)

There is no law that says you have to have a name before you get the dog...I like to watch my new addition for a few days before I name him/her. It lets me know the personality and sometimes it just comes out of the blue while watching him/her.Animals will let you know if they like the name chosen by the way they respond to being called that name. Being an English setter it should be a royal name for the breed...

You should name him Spike, Spot, Toby, Charlie, Rusty, Noah, Tyler, Ryan, Jeff, Luke, Mason, Matt, Sam, John, Will, Ian, Shane, Chandler, Chris, Charlie Brown, Max, Shadow, Jack, Nick, Carter, Fred, Cory, Hunter, Mike, Preston, Jake, Sean, Tommy, Kyle, Billy, Carson, Jalen, Jason. I HOPE THIS WORKS!!!!!

I've got a golden retriever named Jake. I also like the names Carter, Chase, Addison. Just try to think of something that has character similar to a behavior or some aspect of the dog. Good luck,

How about "Clive"? It is a traditional English name and would be a way of honoring his heritage.

Best of luck with your new friend.
